lol. This is why I never do interviews because clips are always taken outa context. First of all my career has been amazing and I’m not unhappy about anything. This was a light hearted conversation before a Nebraska game in my suite box about how “BACK IN THE DAY” some corporations wouldn’t hire some people they deemed “controversial” or “offensive” but yet they would hire other people that were controversial and offensive. That was it. That was the conversation Then here comes the news doing what they do best.. getting clicks by taking the 2 hour podcast outa context. Also, use a better pic than this one. Im much hotter now. lol
Larry the Cable Guy is calling out what he sees as a double standard in corporate America, questioning why some entertainers land major advertising deals while others are considered too controversial.
The comedian says DirecTV missed an obvious opportunity to feature him in a commercial, suggesting his Southern accent and edgy humor may have made companies hesitant.
But he points to rappers landing major endorsements, including Snoop Dogg, and questions why the same standards don't seem to apply.

Larry the Cable Guy clarified his MeatEater Podcast comments were light-hearted remarks about past ("back in the day") corporate practices in a casual 2-hour conversation, not current grievances, and that his career has been successful with no unhappiness.

Traded away what could've been one of the best Charlotte Hornets' rosters ever coming off a historic season and sold the fans a ocean afterwards. No timetable on two of those starters given. Paid a guy to be a star who hasn't proved it. 40 balled. Charles Lee understood the anger

I disagree. I actually think Melo was changing in Charlotte. After the benching incident, you could see him buying in and doing what the organization asked.
My issue is I don’t think the new leadership ever truly bought into HIM. Outside looking in, they seemed to view him as an immature kid with injury issues who they had to babysit rather than appreciating his basketball ability and potential.
He’s 25, just became a father, and still has plenty of room to grow as a player AND a man.
The difference is #Minnesota seems willing to embrace its stars for who they are while holding them accountable.
Sometimes it’s not the player who needs a new culture. It’s the organization that needs a different perspective on the player.
LaMelo had to go somewhere else where he got plugged into an established culture. Hard to rebuild culture around someone that’s been there for years and set in his ways. You go to a new team and you have to fit in. Melo’s own brother said he’s never seen Melo play this hard on defense. Was unlikely ever to happen in Charlotte!

It’s totally ok to get angry about getting smoked by 47 points. Always. But especially after the team trades away a star player and is trying to sell you their vision of it being the right move
