Maybe a controversial take, but I don't think it is realistic/fair to expect the creators behind these customizable models to keep pushing lots of free updates. While many of the creators do provide these updates, I don't think it is unfair for when they to want to move on to a new project. They already created a very affordable option in the vtuber sphere that we didn't have years ago. I do understand the disappointment if updates were promised and not delivered. I think as a client buying these models we should really take the time to research which one is best for our needs. Also to make sure we aren't relying on a hopeful update in the future . I think the model creators could also lay out an update schedule/expectations pre-purchase for people to know what to expect upfront with these models. So, then both parties are set up for success. As someone who just purchased their first customizable model yesterday my first thought is I wish there was a way to compare all the models before buying one. I do think as a community if we can put together a resource like that it won't matter as much which ones are still getting updates, but rather which one matches my needs the most now.
