AST SpaceMobile has reportedly named Rafael Mezzasalma its Country Manager for Brazil. He previously led Nokia’s Brazilian operation after spending 14 years with the company.
AST is already implementing gateways in Brazil, and its first partnerships with Brazilian telecom operators are reportedly expected to be announced soon.

ANATEL extended Brazil’s Direct-to-Device regulatory sandbox through April 2029 and, importantly, expanded it to allow D2D activity with a commercial character, not just testing.

My investments could change my life and the life of my kids. I could put my boys into karate. My girls into swim. Go back to two cars by fixing the one in my driveway that needs a starter. No accrue credit card debt just because I am buying freaking groceries. Stop listening to time-share presentations just to go on vacation. The list goes on.
But the more I fixate on all the things that could bring happiness and relief. The more I find myself envying and wanting and I stop thinking about all the things I have to be thankful for. If I stop for a moment and be grateful, It honestly puts the above list to shame.
I think if I can live more in the present, be a kind human and be grateful for what I have. Then I have accomplished what money can’t buy.
I have no illusion that money solves everything.
The more wealth I have, the more I feel alone. My high school friend just started a fantasy football group and I just don't have time or interest to join. It brings them joy the same way I have joy researching stocks and sharing here.
Money can't buy time - I have more time as early retiree, but we all will die at some point.
Money can't buy health - I have more time to exercise but by God's will, there's something you can't fix.
Money can't buy fame or respect. Look at Bezos and Bill Gates wife. The only time they're on the news is when they give money away. Other than that, no one cares.
I don't know everything, but the thing I know is money doesn't solve everything. Enjoy living in the present, and not get fixated by the destination.

Johnsen described the current T-Mobile/Starlink system as their “version one.”

Discussing Next gen sats, he said “We’re planning to fly the satellites next year and have the capability to turn on service first half of 2028.”

Midland is moving forward with a $5M Texas Space Commission grant to evaluate, design & license a vertical launch/reentry range in West Texas.

“Most of the folks that we’ve ended up talking to are either communication companies that are launching satellites into orbit for worldwide communication or…national defense companies.”

We know AST is already testing Grain’s low-band spectrum, with FCC language pointing to an existing T-Mobile relationship. More spectrum could mean a massive jump in U.S. capacity.
If AST gets access through a lease/revenue-share instead of a huge upfront purchase, that could be an extremely capital-efficient way to add nationwide spectrum.
New Glenn continues to push forward. Which means more satellites per launch.
Now today we get SpaceX saying Falcon 9 is done with Starlink launches in FL today! This means more commercial launch availability could give AST even more flexibility to accelerate deployment.
