I looked at the next Town Hall upgrade in @farmingseasonio, then looked at my 19 animals. A Lv 3 to Lv 4 build takes 16 hours. The farmer stops other jobs while building. My first thought was more fields. My second was: who feeds the cows?

Sixteen hours is four full tomato-growing cycles on my patch. Ripe crops can wait in their fields through a build. Hungry animals cannot wait forever. That makes the build warning more important to me than the new field slots.

So I am not tapping Upgrade just because the button looks tempting. The order is: finish the current harvest, feed every pen, check the next meal window, then start the build when I can be back for the animals. How do you time a long build on a crowded farm?

My @farmingseasonio farm has two midnights. At 00:00 on my farm clock, the daily 100 energy refreshes. At 00:00 UTC, the neighbor-help board starts a new day. I learned this after staring at one clock and wondering where the other reset had gone.

There is another suitcase in the energy bar: bought energy carries across farm midnight. I still have 45 bought energy marked separately today; the game uses the free daily energy first. It is why an energy total above 100 is not a broken counter.

The weekly help board resets Monday at 00:00 UTC, or 03:00 on this farm clock. I now keep both clocks beside the map when planning visits. One game, two calendars, and a farmer who should probably own a second watch. Which reset catches you out?

I claimed 20 free feed bags in @farmingseasonio and thought my silo was set. Then I counted the mouths on my Lv 3 farm: 9 chickens, 6 sheep, 4 cows. The silo was empty again before I had time to feel clever.

The grain route is more interesting than the shop button: 1 wheat + 1 corn mixes into 10 feed bags. For one meal here that is 8 of each grain; for a full day, twice that. Harvested grain goes to the silo first, and animals use silo feed before bought feed.

There is a catch: wheat and corn occupy field time, while my 18 plots are currently on a synchronized tomato cycle. Changing crops would be a real choice, not free feed from thin air. Would you dedicate a row to grain, or keep the tomato clock and buy feed?

my closest race in @farmingseasonio is happening outside the arena: the weekly neighbor-help board at 11:35 UTC today I'm fourth with 61 points. Baymack is third on 74. thirteen villages is a small gap on a chart and a very long walk on the map

I also check how much work a visit needs. helping with one ready tree uses 2 energy; a job covering two trees uses 4, for the same one village point so the small jobs matter when I still need energy for my own animals, tomato patch and battles

the neighbor keeps the crop or product; the helper gets a small bonus. neighbors helped my farm 94 times, so this is overdue repayment the weekly help board resets Monday at 00:00 UTC. my target is third, but Baymack gets to keep moving too. who's your most reliable neighbor?
