“it did not significantly outperform a placebo overall”
So, no.
(And no, the claim of “promising results” for more severe hypertension don’t seem supported by the actual paper at all cursory glance, even give the minute post-selection sample.)
Could lowering high blood pressure be as simple as stimulating your ear? - sciencedaily.com/releases/20…
Yes, they’re whodunnits boiled down to the bare essentials of the genre. Occasionally I can find there’s something enjoyable about that too, but in small doses. Otherwise the lack of characterisation becomes dull. It’s similar to how some very hard sf is best as short stories.

Many tend to come and go though. Astrid and Ingrid are both quite popular again, for example.

My GustBuster umbrella cost 10 times that or even a little more, but it has served me very well for many years. Definitely one of the things I don’t regret spending money on.

Sedan är det ju alltid vanskligt att räkna andelar av en helhet som inte är konstant. Har Storbritannien blivit fattigare mellan 1900 och 2025? >

It’s a theory that could only come from someone who a) believes Europe is completely monolithic, and b) has never been here. It’s not a good theory, it’s complete ignorance. Oh, and yes, we have entirely sufficient access to painkillers. This is a total non-issue.

There’s always an off-day 😉
I had a 414-day streak but dropped it deliberately when I went for offline R&R with the wildlife in South Africa a month ago. The goal was to reach the full year, then I didn’t want the self-imposed pressure.

Enormous red flag. It’s right up there with treating waitstaff as beneath you. It’s the behaviour of someone who thinks others are there to be taken advantage of. It will not stop at taking advantage of a generous norm in a business that can probably afford it.

My mind went to the Tennis Court Meeting in Uppsala on 17 February 1939, where a majority of the attending students protested against Sweden receiving 10 Jewish refugees – all physicians – from Nazi Germany, as they “would pose a threat to the students’ employment prospects”.

Hence why we insist on handwritten notes for the allowed page of notes for the exam. Even if they did get AI to produce a summary, they still need to at least write it out themselves. And of course, the exam doesn’t just ask you to regurgitate the notes anyway.

Frusen Glädjé indeed looks nonsensical because of the spurious accent on the é. Removing that, however, Frusen Glädje means Frozen Joy or Frozen Happiness in Swedish. Probably not entirely unintentional for an ice-cream brand.

Correct. The most modern – but not futuristic – thing about this is the kitchen as one wall of the living room. A frequent feature in new builds and one of the worst ideas architecture/home design. I’d take a house with a kitchen over the round corners and circular sofa any day.
