I was trying to see if you were genuinely seeking truth or just looking for reasons to reject Scripture. You accused Mark of lying but never proved it. Repeating accusations isn’t evidence. I’ve known many former atheists who found Christ when they sincerely sought the truth. I pray one day you’ll do the same. God bless.

No, I’m believing what Jesus said about Himself and I understand what He said because I study my Bible. You need to read the Old Testament and become familiar with how His Jewish audience would have understood Him. It’s the most important thing you get right.

This year alone, more Christians have been killed by Muslims in Nigeria than Gazans in three years of war. Not a single Muslim or pro-Palestinian activist has protested like they do for Gaza. Weird.

Just FYI "He who sits in the heavens laughs, The Lord scoffs at them. Then He will speak to them in His anger And terrify them in His wrath, saying, “But as for Me, I have installed My King Upon Zion, My holy mountain.”   (Psalm 2:4–6)
When we take power, we are immediately arresting and jailing all Zionists.

Oh so you’re not even a believer? Are you an atheist or agnostic?

Jesus tells us why He prayed out loud before raising Lazarus. Read John 11:42. He wanted the people to believe the Father had sent Him. Also notice something else. Jesus says, “I am the resurrection and the life” - John 11:25 He did not simply ask God to raise Lazarus. On His own authority, He commanded Lazarus to come out! Now, can we go back to Mark 2? Why did Jesus specifically claim authority to forgive sins and then perform a miracle to prove it?

Keith, knowing the Messianic prophecies doesn’t mean they recognized Jesus as the Messiah. Jesus Himself said they didn’t believe Him in John 10, but you are missing my original point. They explicitly accused Jesus of making Himself God, John 10:33.

Notice that Jesus didn’t say, “The Father forgives you.” He said, “Your sins are forgiven.” Then He went a step further and then He claimed that He Himself had the authority to forgive sins. He even knew what the scribes were thinking! Only God knows the heart of man. If Jesus was simply announcing God’s forgiveness, why did He perform a miracle specifically to prove that He had the authority to forgive sins?

You’re painting messianic Jews with a very broad brush. I follow several who would disagree with Jacob on this.

You know what wrecked me when I was newly Christian? Genesis 22. For years as a Muslim, I was told the story was about Ishmael. Then I actually read it. I think the bigger topic isn't Isaac or Ishmael. It's this: Why would God ask Abraham to sacrifice his son in the first place? What kind of God does that? The answer hit me like a freight train, because it shattered my Muslim worldview. God wasn't being cruel, He was painting a picture. Abraham never goes through with sacrificaing Isaac. God stops him, then God provides a ram in his place. That action is not just a test or an isolated story: That's prophetic. It's a blueprint. The blueprint goes: A father. A son. A sacrifice. A substitute. You see where I am going with this. Genesis 22 is actually the heartbeat of the Gospel. God was foreshadowing the day when He Himself would provide the sacrifice. Not for one man. Not only for one family. But for the whole world. Of course, salvation wasn't earned by Abraham's performance. It came through God's provision. You can recieve this substitute and gift. Here's what made me stop and think: The Quran retells the story of Genesis 22, but removes the name of the son. Why? Because once you start following the thread through Genesis, the prophets, and the covenant promises, you eventually have to wrestle with the Lamb that comes later. You have to wrestle with Jesus. The perfect sacrifice that every previous sacrifice pointed toward. And that's when I realized: The story was never ultimately about Abraham. It was always about what God was going to do for us. And there's nothing we can do to earn His approval! We can only receive the sacrifice He already provided.

Perhaps we agree, then! Jesus wasn’t simply claiming to be God’s Son in the ordinary sense. He was claiming divine authority and equality with the Father. Is that your understanding as well?

Would simply claiming to be the Son of God have been considered blasphemy under Jewish law?
