Annie, born in that house 89 years ago, is grateful for the sign pointing people past her house so she can ply their dogs with far too many biscuits and have a chat as they pass by😍

Said goodbye to my most favourite tree in the world today. I’ve been admiring her beauty for thirty years; let’s hope she’s still there in another thirty, and not buried underneath a five bedroom luxury home. #Yorkshire #Trees
Car shampoo, washing up liquid and Persil don’t work, but Covid hand sanitizer is looking most promising..stay tuned for the next exciting instalment.
I’ve just spent 2 hours trying to get tree algae off the roof of my son’s car ‘cos it’s annoying me (he’s out). Yes I could leave it now, but I will not be beaten by anything, ever. It’s between me & the car now and I WILL win if it kills me*
*It probably will😵💫
For 34 years this has been my local patch, walked it most days. The lady in the house is 89 and plies passing dogs with endless biscuits as she tells owners about local memories. She’s deaf so can’t hear a word we say in response, but keeps me & dog happy. I’ll miss it #Yorkshire
Reader, I filled my boots. As always.

I forgot to show you the amazing beetle on my garden chair last week. Apparently a non native invader (Rosemary beetle) that came in on imported herbs, but blimey it’s a stunner!

Can you imaging anyone bothering to knock up a castellated turret on a bridge in the middle of the Yorkshire dales nowadays? Completely unnecessary- but I thank them for taking the trouble.

In its long life, it gave life and shelter to millions of creatures, feathered, fluffy, crawly and scaly. In death it continues its work until it is dust. Trees are magnificent.

Bit unfair that bikes can go both ways but horses have to reverse along the right hand path.

Some little beastie has laid its tiny eggs on my washing line, shield bug? I carefully hung my washing around them, no beastie ever harmed on my watch, whatever they are🤔
