It's Halloween, the one time in the year when the media industry relishes in the brutalisation of young women - and it's not exactly a new thing. My latest video is about how our fascination with the macabre creates very real monsters.

Always nice to see Doctor Who at the Blackpool Illuminations.
Needs some TLC though as the eyestalk on the Supreme Dalek is the wrong way round lol.
The amount of people though especially families just walking past without even batting an eyelid. That’s the problem.

I watched Edward Scissorhands for the first time a few weeks ago and I keep thinking about how that whole era of Stepford Wives, WASP suburban horror is basically meaningless now. Oh no! The horror! A suburban community where families live in nice houses and work well-paying jobs and enjoy a decent quality of life and everyone knows each other! The stifling conformity of a world which is now considered aspirational by many! Not to mention that the alt subcultures which produced these works have now become the default, dominant culture - buy your Edward Scissorhands funko pop! - and the scathing satire on Middle America just doesn't have any bite anymore. It's almost quaint now. Real 2020s Middle America satire has to feature doorbell cameras and plain white interiors and a Monster Truck for suburban moms to drive their Ipad brats to soccer practice.

🚨SPOOKY NEW VIDEO🚨
Spring-Heeled Jack - the terrifying figure who stalked London in 1838 - is usually dismissed as an urban myth. But I think there's more to the story. What if, by inventing monsters, we unwittingly create very real ones? Link 👇

This was on TV all the time when I was a kid. Always late at night: 1972's Emmy Award-winning La Cabina (The Telephone Box), from Spanish director Antonio Mercero. Even edited, once seen, it stays with you forever. 🎃📞😱

The Eastgate Clock is my most detailed print yet.
It started as a commission and isn't my usual subject matter, but it became a real labour of love.
Now in my shop in a range of sizes.
