BREAKING: Trump supporters have breached the Capitol building, tearing down 4 layers of security fencing and are attempting to occupy the building — fighting federal police who are overrun This is the craziest thing I’ve ever seen in my life. Thousands, police can’t stop them

Earlier today, I stopped by my neighborhood bakery for what I thought would just be a moment, and my car was stolen. No one was harmed and and MPD is in search of my vehicle.

NEW: Trump was receiving one of his first codeword classified briefings on Afghanistan, at his Bedminster club, when he suddenly got bored and ordered milkshakes. The incident became legendary inside CIA, where like at other agencies, morale has slumped.1/ politico.com/news/2020/10/19…

If people ever waited 5 hours in line for, say, services at their local DMV, everyone would rightfully decry it as a failure of basic government services. Seeing so many people want to vote is great, but seeing them wait in line for so long is a sign something is wrong.
As of 11am, voters waited 5+ hours to cast ballots @ the main Cobb Co. early polling location (736 Whitlock Ave, Marietta). Some seemed unbothered by the line. “It doesn’t matter how long it takes…we’re voting like our life depends on it,“ said a voter. #gavotes @11AliveNews

Ten deadly shootings in the District this week alone. It’s clear that something isn’t working at a basic level here. People are nervous and scared and tensions are high. Something has to change.
UPDATE: @DCPoliceDept say two adult men were shot to death in NE DC around 2pm. Police says its unknown circumstances and there’s no suspect at this time. @wusa9

Rode by this sign today on one of Brookland’s “slow streets.” I know bike lanes have become a marker of sorts for gentrification, but not sure how temporary restrictions on thru traffic would be.

I am a married woman with a doctorate. I teach college and advise college students. My husband, a college-educated scientist, and I own a home, pay taxes, volunteer, and vote. In 2019, I was told I needed his 'permission' to get my tubes tied. It's only going to get worse.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg may have seemed like a detached jurist, but she was an active D.C. voter. When she went to vote at a local polling place two years ago, it was a moment of celebrity for many: wamu.org/story/18/10/25/supr…
