Neil Young says Tom Cruise's "Digger" is "the best film I have ever seen."
"None of the reviews I have read describe this film adequately, in my opinion," Young wrote. "They seem to miss the overall effect and most of them are negative. This film lives in a world of art. It is its own best review. Don't read any other reviews and forget this one before you see 'Digger.' It cannot be seen as a Tom Cruise film - that would be misleading. I would describe it as a film of our times... I do not view this film as a commercial venture. Rather it is an artful film of our times. The things that are said in 'Digger' are a direct reflection of today's political and social world. The film is so full of artful expression and radical change ups, that it may be too much to take in for those expecting a commercial film like we are used to today."

Christopher Nolan says there is a "real problem" with amateur film criticism:
“The criticism that’s often leveled at movies in general is, ‘Oh, the character has to be made sympathetic, so the character is manipulated in different ways or changed in different ways.' And that’s a fundamental flaw of film criticism in a way, or storytelling criticism. Because to be able to identify the mechanism does not invalidate the mechanism." variety.com/2026/film/news/c…

Alex Ferguson 🗣️:
“I was 33 years old, and a young boy came to my office on a Tuesday and said, ‘Boss, can I have Friday off?’
And I said, ‘Why do you want Friday off?’
He said, ‘My mother has died.’
You’re beaten. What can you do?
And I went, ‘Oh, of course, son.’
From that moment on, if a player came to me and said, ‘I want tomorrow off,’ I said yes.
In the case of Cristiano Ronaldo, I knew his father was ill. I knew he was in the hospital, and it was important for him to be there. It didn’t matter about the football club. Some things are bigger than the football club, and family is definitely one of them, without question.
You should never, ever put a club before your family.”

Wes Anderson on Christopher Nolan:
“I enjoy Chris Nolan's work in general, but I watched the Blu-Ray of The Dark Knight and it has a thing where you can go to any scene in the movie and go to the making of that. There's nothing that has ever made me feel less like a professional than watching Chris Nolan's group at work. The remote-control miniature cars. Just every technique. The rehearsal of flipping the semi-trailer end over end in the middle of the desert before they blow it up in Chicago... There's one scene where a guy jumps off the top of a skyscraper — they rehearse the jump but for the actual thing they did it CG. 'But for the rehearsal you did jump off the building?' 'We have it as a reference.' Wow. Chris Nolan is quite great. My favourite is Memento, but I'd like to learn how to do these things.”

Jim Carrey's profound reminder:
"We get up, open our eyes, and the show begins... But a couple times a day, stop & go: This is just as real as those thoughts. I am bigger than these thoughts. I am bigger than this body."
"Every cell is God. When you do good, you are the heart of God. Baking bread? That's a Eucharist."
