As the world mourns his passing, Pope Francis’ legacy will be remembered as one that brought the Church closer to its mission of love, mercy and justice. We come together in prayer to give thanks for the life of such a special leader. cafod.org.uk/pray/prayer-res…

Dearest brothers and sisters, with deep sorrow I must announce the death of our Holy Father Francis. At 7:35 this morning, the Bishop of Rome, Francis, returned to the house of the Father. His entire life was dedicated to the service of the Lord and of His Church.

This weekend is Palm Sunday, marking the first day of Holy Week. Palm Sunday commemorates Christ’s triumphant arrival in Jerusalem to the cheers of the crowd, when palm branches were placed in His path, before His arrest on Maundy Thursday and His Crucifixion on Good Friday.
