Another day of @Georgia_AG chickening out and not following other free states such as MS and FL, in assuring Georgians they will not be prosecuted under the now deconstructed NFA and follow the ATF directors guidelines. @Rep_Clyde, my congressman, please help us fix this!

This is the future of the GOP that the Chamber of Commerce faction is currently trying to snuff out during midterms.
It’s what they did to the Tea Party. Don’t let them. Show up for midterms.
Vice President JD Vance breaks down the data:
"If you are working as an H-1B visa in the United States of America, you’re earning $20,000 less than an American citizen hired in the same position. If you were brought in by one of these foreign outsourcing firms, you’re making $48,000 less than an American citizen in a similar position. So I’m sure that everybody here understands the game that is being played. You bring in indentured servants from outside the country, you lay off American workers and, if you’re a corporation, you make a ton of money by under cutting the wages of American workers, replacing them with people who frankly shouldn’t be in the United States of America to begin with."

I dislike travel ball/year-round sports for the same reason I dislike striver culture. It has nothing to do with opposing hard work. People who have followed me for a while know I am strong proponent of hard work and doing hard things just to do hard things.
Let kids be kids. It's good to let them try all number of things and see where their talents and interests intersect. It's also good to let them do things they enjoy that might not ever matter for their career and to let them have periods of time where they don't have to do much of anything.
It's not good for most people to specialize early on and be hyperfocused on a single aspect of their lives, be it sports or academics or whatever. We want to raise competent, well-rounded adults. If your kid has some outsized ability, you can still nurture that (and it will usually be pretty obvious early on). Smart kids are pretty smart across the board, athletic kids are pretty athletic across the board, etc.
Putting your kid in year round baseball or hiring a math tutor at age 5 probably isn't going to move the needle very much if he doesn't have the innate tools necessary. And even if he does, he still probably doesn't need to start specializing until high school.
But in all things your kids do, you should expect them to work hard and try their best. I have expectations for my children in school, sports, and at home. Could they do better if we made one of those areas the focus of all our efforts? Absolutely. But I believe that takes away from their childhood and also makes them less complete human beings. I don't want that for them, and I don't want a country full of one-dimensional people.
There's a reason we call people like that bugmen.

There is a difference in being a good man and being good at being a man. Modern men focus too much on the former while neglecting the latter.

The market is one of mankind's self-made mysteries. How does it know Italians are next in line once the Mexicans are gone? What were they previously doing? Nobody knows; they don't even know. "Yo Vinny, I gots a feelin' all da sudden like we should be fixin' roofs."

Spending over a trillion dollars to randomly send everyone in the country a check for five grand, including people who are not even net taxpayers -- which makes this, yes, welfare -- is idiotic. Sorry. We did that during covid and it didn't help anything. Only made inflation worse. This is flagrant bribery. Which I could maybe stomach if the plan itself was at least sensible and coherent, but it isn't.

Patrick Adamiak is PARDONED!
WE DID IT!
We haunted the halls of the White House, stopping everyone we could find who was willing to hear his story. We called on all of you to spread the word about the injustice this innocent Navy sailor faced.
And it worked.
We cannot give Tate back the time that was stolen from him, but today, we can finally right one major wrong.

Intel was awarded up to $7.9 BILLION in CHIPS subsidies to create American semiconductor jobs.
It then permanently eliminated 3,178 Oregon jobs—including hundreds of engineers.
Now Intel’s own filings show it is still sponsoring H‑1B engineers at the same Hillsboro operation.
