I just saw a presumably viral post about body worlds and bodies that were posed into intimate positions. I won’t be reposting it for obvious reasons. The question at hand was whether the individuals knew they would be posed that way with a stranger in death.
This question falls short. We should be asking if body worlds is proper at all. And the answer is - of course not. Body worlds is fundamentally disturbing and wrong. They act under a facade of medical and scientific knowledge. But really it strips death, a holistic and solemn topic, down to a purely physical process.
I went to a body worlds exhibit in my teens. I was deeply disturbed and felt truly sick to my stomach, and I left before seeing the whole thing. Not common for a kid who grew up with unfettered internet access in the early 2000s.
As Christians, we must apply a solemn reverence for the entire process of death, displaying discretion and respect for the Imago Dei in each step.
This is weak. Dont think you can watch, you simply don’t.
I’ll say this again Regarding public executions:
Public executions have been done righteously for all of human history according to God’s word. There are obviously Godless societies performing them as well. We can disregard that for the purpose of this conversation.
The fact that we don’t do them now is a reflection of the fact that we are ruled by women’s emotions rather than scriptural mandates. To be clear, it is good that women would be disturbed. Sin is ugly, and sin deserving execution IS deeply disturbing.
The best thing each husband and father can do is counsel their people to understand what God’s word says and to help them look away when righteousness is too much for them to bear emotionally.
The olive green ostrich option is really fun. I learned the hard way it doesn’t stamp, but it works perfectly for a bookmark strap for this project and a few more I have in the pipeline. Something a little different 🌳🗡️

Excited to announce that The Piraeus will be teaming up with Oyarsa to host our 1st ever in-person event Monday, October 19 at noon in Nashville (afternoon of the 4th Thiel lecture)!
"Building on the Cultural Frontier" will be a lunch and panel discussion featuring leaders from our rapidly growing grassroots movement—citizen activists, independent scholars, and entrepreneurs working to revitalize Western culture and education outside of mainstream institutions.
The panel will introduce you to these leaders and their projects, discuss their visions for the future, and show you how to get involved.
