This man has dedicated almost his entire adult life to fighting for change in his country, at enormous personal cost. I sleep a little easier knowing there are people like him willing to risk so much for the safety of others—for our families and our future. Whatever his personal struggles or choices, they don’t erase his sacrifices. You can see the toll those years have taken on his face. When the chips are down, and many of the men so readily dismissed as “thugs”—would be among the first to stand on the frontline for us.
