If you dislike the UNIPARTY, the best thing you can do is support voting reform. STAR voting is simple & allows you to vote your conscience without fear of helping unwanted candidates. It also fixes the problem with ranked choice voting (e.g. Alaska '22). Starvoting.org

This can't be repeated enough until it is fixed.
.@SecKennedy: “The whole system was corrupt.” A hip replacement: $17,900 at one hospital, $74,000 at another — for the SAME surgery. MRI prices can vary as much as 9X within the same city. 60% of insurer-negotiated hospital rates were found to be HIGHER than the hospital’s own cash price.

Herman Melville and Nathaniel Hawthorne's warning to America is coming to pass. They watched hyper-competition destroy the whaling industry. They saw the future of unchecked capitalism in America. It appears that our white whale has arrived. Welcome to the age of AI.

73% of women on the titanic survived. Only 19% of men did. Read that again. Even the richest men alive, class, power, status, all useless when the ship started sinking. Hierarchy collapsed. Gender didn’t. “Women and children first” Not a suggestion. A rule men didn’t break. Men stood there. No panic No begging. Just accepted it. They didn’t ask: “Do I know her?” “Is she worth it?” “Will she remember me?” No one asked if it was fair. No camera. No applause. No second chances. Zero return. Full cost. Understand this: When survival gets limited, a man’s life becomes negotiable. Men like that built the world. And today? Masculinity gets mocked. Call it whatever you want. But when everything collapsed, men paid first. This isn’t opinion. This is history.

Imho, Elon is not wrong, but way too dismissive of the pain caused by technological disruption & unemployment. The industrial revolution improved lives in the long run, but the Engles Pause (1790-1840) lasted 50 years & begot Marxism. Socialism is making a comeback for a reason.

How did I know two years ago that this exact thing was going to happen? Because it's all pre-scripted. The uniparty is always going to do what Israel wants, they're just going to come up with different excuses for it. They always lie to the voters because they know that no one wants to fight Israel's wars for them. But they have Israel First officials, like Stephen Miller, Marco Rubio, Anthony Blinken, Liz Cheney, ready to go on both sides. The plan is to lie to you before the election, and then to have either side do what Israel wants after the election. You can't argue that's not the plan when we said that's what they would do two years ago - and that's exactly what they did.
Hey, @cenkuygur: right before the 2024 election, @StephenM could not have possibly been clearer with you, as he said. Was there something you failed to understand?

Anybody see any bipedal humanoid robots in this warehouse? Me neither.
Robots are taking over warehouse work! 📦 At an @OcadoTechnology warehouse, hundreds of robots zoom around a grid, fetching items for online orders with dizzying speed and precision. Bags of rice, boxes of tea, and packets of crumpets are all grabbed by the arms using suction cups! Asda, Walmart, and others are also using robots to collect and distribute products, bringing them to staff who pack them into boxes for delivery. ℹ️ Bit of facts about warehouse robots! → Ocado's robots bring items to robotic arms, which grab what they need for the customer's shop using a suction cup. → The AI has to interpret camera information to recognize objects, grab them successfully, and move them without flinging them across the room! → The Luton warehouse has @Universal_Robot 44 robotic arms, which currently handle 15% of products, with plans to increase to 70% in two to three years. Closer and closer to the concept of dark factories & warehouses! ❓ Question: Will automation eventually lead to human-free warehouses that can run 24 hours a day? 🤔 ~~~ ♻️ RT to help 1 robot find a new workplace.

I can't wait until Huckabee makes a speech about the contributions of the English Kings Aethelstan, John, Henry III & Edward to freedom & democracy. From the Magna Carta to the House of Commons, they gave the people a voice, & their examples set the stage for the US Constitution.

If I had to guess, I think Thiel is trying to hide his money from angry American taxpayers. If the GOP gets beat by resentful Democrats in 2028 and the social security trust fund runs out in 2032, then we could see a massive movement toward a billionaire's wealth tax.
One under-discussed possibility regarding Thiel's apparent move to Argentina is that Argentina has - for many years - allowed certain wealthy, foreign billionaires to establish de facto parallel states in the country, where the federal government declines to intervene, even to protect its own citizens and laws. Roughly seven years ago, I traveled to Argentina and wrote about how UK billionaire Joe Lewis (who Trump recently pardoned after he was found guilty of insider trading) had established one such "parallel state" in Argentine Patagonia, and even controls a private airport that the Argentine state doesn't even pretend to monitor. (Article link is below) Did Milei allow Thiel the opportunity to experiment with one such "parallel state"? Given how Thiel and his associates are eager to create "network states" along similar lines, and Milei's own ideological leanings and personal ties to that crowd, it is an angle worth considering. My 2019 article on Joe Lewis in Argentina for MintPress: mintpressnews.com/dark-secre…

Ranked Choice Voting is flawed. That is why Alaska is about to repeal it. STAR voting has all the benefits of RCV, and it fixes the flaw in RCV that marred the Alaska 2022 election. STARvoting.org
