Random thoughts on #isles game 11: Dallas showed the islanders the kind of team they should want to be. Not a terrible game but you just can’t have defensive breakdowns like that against a team with that kind of firepower. Robertson, Johnston and Rantanen are elite shooters and they don’t miss when they get in position. All the defenseman with the exception of Schaefer had bad games. I love to have a player like Wyatt Johnston or Jason Robertson. Exactly the kind of forward they need. Dallas is like the Dodgers with Japanese players, just with Finnish players. They hung in there and kept fighting back but team defense and back checking hurt this one. They got away from their game in the 3rd. Bailey is doing good as a commentator. He’s behind Clutter and Hickey on the depth chart but I’d like to see more of him in the role. You’d think Mayfield draws back in next game after this one. -ducks- Glad to see they took a shot at scumbag Rantanen. Wanted to see them beat the piss out of him but maybe next time. That 3rd period effort isn’t going to cut it. Need consistency over 60 minutes, especially with elite teams. Tough loss. Take it on the chin and move to the next one and learn from it.

So ice hockey. Where do I begin eliminating teams if I were to choose a team to get behind. Which ones are out of the question?
