Here's a nicely timely thread of Thomas Jefferson quotes that we'd all do well to think about as we see news stories from across the world and at home. It's ridiculous how prescient each of these are. TJ was a real one.

When I was 23 I started studying physics with the hope it would bring my intuition and internal world into closer alignment with nature and the cosmos. It worked to some extent - but there is a rigidty of skepticism in the scientific method that closes your mind to aspects of experience that are universal and timeless, threads that have tied every culture and civilization across time by a common thread of spiritualism and belief in something greater. I do not think there is anything non-physical behind these aspects of experience. There is no true magic in the world, only parts that science and technology have yet to catch up to and explain fully. My belief is that in time all these things will be known as quantum mechanics is known today. Until then they may seem mystic, but truthfully, they are just cool things to explore in the inner world of the mind, and all the depth and complexity it has to offer. The world our bodies live in is physical and material, but the world of the mind is perceptual and born of experience. What we can experience and what we can measure are not the same but both grow wider with time as our belief in ourselves and the power of our technology grow. These two things are linked. The manifest destiny of the human spirit is to know this world and itself, and harness both in the creation of something beautiful. My conviction is we can and will get there together, overcome the desire to control that comes from fear, fear born in trauma, of being powerless and at the whim of a cruel and unfeeling universe. But the universe is within us too, it animates us by the same laws it makes the stars shine and the grass grow. We are a way for it to know itself and it is a way for us to know ourselves. I think pursuing that unity through science, physics, innovation, acts of creation, will create a world of abundance and prosperity that releases us from the fear of the unknown and lets us embrace what is true more fully than ever before. This is just my personal philosophy, The Way, and it's always under development, always to be revised in light of new information. Whatever we wish of the world we cannot seek shelter in comforting truths but meet the world head on. Even it's darkest elements hold an important lesson to learn, a challenge to overcome, an opportunity for gratitude. The pursuit isn't of self enrichment but of betterment and abundance for everyone. We all deserve to shine as bright as some already do, and those that have found their way can light the path for others. That is the responsibility of success and the mandate of leadership. ♥️🌏🚀✨
