BBC News, I am a foreigner living in South Africa, and I believe your reporting is doing an injustice to this country when you highlight violence against foreigners without giving equal attention to the serious crime that fuels public frustration. As a foreigner, I refuse to pretend that crime committed by other foreigners is not a problem simply because I am one of them. My nationality does not require me to defend wrongdoing, and my empathy for foreigners does not require me to dismiss the legitimate concerns of South Africans. There are reports of foreign nationals implicated in drug trafficking, human trafficking, illegal drug laboratories and cable theft. A foreign national was also reportedly involved in running over a Crime Intelligence specialist. These incidents deserve serious scrutiny and consistent reporting, too. If BBC News can report when a foreigner is beaten to death, it should also report on crimes committed against South Africans, regardless of the perpetrator’s nationality. If you believe violence against foreigners deserves international attention, surely the victims of crimes committed by foreigners deserve that same attention. Accountability cannot be selective. Human rights apply to everyone, and so must the law. Let me be clear: beating someone to death is indefensible, and no crime justifies mob justice. But condemning mob violence must not become an excuse to avoid discussing crime, immigration enforcement and the failures that leave communities feeling unsafe. South Africans deserve safety, and foreigners who commit crimes must face the law. These positions are not contradictory. Do not use the death of one person to silence an entire country’s concerns. Report the killing, condemn the violence, and give the broader issue of crime the same seriousness. That is what fair and responsible journalism should look like.

The exact delegation that travelled to Israel last month represents a deliberate, coordinated soft-power campaign by foreign operatives to construct a parallel diplomatic infrastructure in South Africa by leveraging recognized traditional authorities and rural/township charismatic church networks. It’s your own local royal family members in the villages selling out the country for photo-ops and foreign aid handshakes.
I engaged @DIRCO_ZA last month regarding these royal families travelling to Israel last month, and DIRCO indicated they were liaising with @GDCoGTA. Clearly, @GovernmentZA is failing to intervene effectively. Consequently, these royal family members are mobilising pro-Zionist foreign influence networks within their rural communities, often using local charismatic churches as operational vehicles. Under Section 211 of the Constitution and the Traditional and Khoi-San Leadership Act, traditional leaders carry a public-office obligation to act in alignment with the Bill of Rights and democratic governance. When state-funded or legally recognised traditional authorities bypass state foreign policy to facilitate soft-power initiatives with a state currently under ICJ scrutiny, it raises severe compliance issues regarding municipal oversight, public funding accountability, and foreign interference under the Foreign Military Assistance Act framework. The strategy is to bypass constitutional channels, undermine official executive foreign policy, and project organic, grassroots support. The MASHAV Narrative (Aid over Geopolitics) - Featuring MASHAV (“Aid from Israel”) deliberately shifts public focus away from international humanitarian law violations and ICJ litigation toward community development, water tech, and agricultural assistance. It repositions a state entity as a benevolent partner solving local governance failures. When official state-to-state diplomatic channels close, faith organisations, traditional leaders, and local civil society become primary strategic targets. Allowing foreign influence campaigns to operate unchecked through rural chieftaincies is a fundamental failure of national executive coordination and border diplomacy. @Chrispin_JPhiri @RonaldLamola

A Nissan Magnite should be won, not bought!😌🤞🏽
THINKING OF BUYING A NISSAN MAGNITE? THINK AGAIN 🚗 My husband bought a BRAND NEW Nissan Magnite from CMH Nissan Ballito in November 2024. Two years later, we have a car that belongs in a scrapyard more than it belongs on the road. 🙃 The list of problems? Engine Failure Hazard warnings & non starting Auto gearbox overheating error messages Loud knocking noises Losing power and breaking down on the road on multiple occasions, requiring towing. OVER 7 REPAIR VISITS.. ACROSS 3 CMH NISSAN DEALERSHIPS.. STILL NOT FIXED. And here's the best part. After one so called “repair” at CMH Nissan Pinetown, we were assured the vehicle was in perfect working order. We drove to the Astron garage just 100 meters away, only for the EXACT SAME ENGINE FAILURE AND NON STARTING PROBLEM to occur again! 100 METERS.. THAT'S HOW LONG THEIR REPAIR LASTED. You honestly couldn't make this up. 😂 Except we're the ones paying for it. Meanwhile, the car is sitting USELESS in our garage. Nissan SA and CMH Nissan Ballito customer service? A never ending game of blame shifting, excuses and being passed from one person to another. Their solution? “Lets try fixing it AGAIN!” But this time, we must pay for a clutch replacement 🙂 Because apparently, after 7 failed repair attempts under warranty, the problem is suddenly OUR bill to deal with. What a brilliant business model! 👏 If you're considering buying a Nissan Magnite, take our experience as a warning. Because apparently, with Nissan, the only thing that keeps RUNNING is the bill 👏 #NissanSouthAfrica #NissanSA #CMHGroup #NissanMagnite #CMHBALLITO Nissan CMH Nissan CMH Nissan Durban CMH NISSAN Pinetown Nissan Mobeni

Asbegistan. 🙂‍↔️
There’s something that amuses me about Nigeria, the excitement and desperation and shouting that young men there do whenever they see a celebrity in their posh car is really so funny, this is something I haven’t seen in other African countries😂
