Magic simply have no idea how not to turn it over. It’s like they try to give the other team the ball.
The Magic love to leave point shooters open… they just can’t keep their heads straight with defensive rotations and positioning

My latest for @orlandosports: Jalen Suggs is focused on his rehab as the #Magic travel again this week after Orlando’s 4th home loss:
“It’s the same process for me whether I’m playing or not. I wake up and I come to work,” Suggs told me.

This is my first season not doing any sports betting. I never went heavy financially into it, but with how much it’s getting shoved in our faces it’s lost a bit of its fun. I would rather use my money more wisely.
Kalshi parlay takers have now lost more than $1 billion since the feature launched last year, after a huge surge in popularity this football season, an InGame analysis shows.
Since parlays first became available in September 2025, Kalshi’s total volume on multi-leg trades has been $165.6 billion. Taker stakes — the closest equivalent to sportsbook handle — are $7.1 billion, and takers have lost $1.004 billion.
Stephen Cameron is out for today’s game, his fandom needs emotional management vs the Washington Wizards. Orlando is on a second night of a back to back and the team is worried Stephen’s optimism will stop. The team has no timeline for return and will see how he does in recovery.
Anthony Black (right ankle injury management) will be out for the @OrlandoMagic's home game against the Washington Wizards tonight. Orlando is on the second night of a back-to-back.

I didn’t realize how early the game was today. I am going to miss most of it and have to watch it on replay this evening as my wife and I are going on an afternoon date.
Go Magic!

The ball is moving in Orlando. The Magic assist on 71.3% of their made shots, second in the NBA behind Atlanta, per Matt Hanifan of Magic On SI.
The glass is another story. Their defensive rebound rate is third-worst in the league, and they've been outrebounded in four of five games, by 6.8 a night.
The fast break hasn't shown up either. Just 8.8 fastbreak points per 100 possessions, third-fewest in the NBA. They run the second-least in transition and rank last in points per transition play, per Cleaning The Glass.
Boards or transition, what's the bigger fix?
Franz pretty high, he’s obviously feeling the doubles even worse without Paolo… hence the up and down performance

Franz and AB had the ball moving in Toronto.
Franz: 26 points, 11 assists. AB: 17 points, 10 assists. Both tied their career highs in dimes.
The last time two Magic teammates posted a points-assists double-double in the same game was October 22, 2018 against Boston, when DJ Augustin (10 and 10) and Evan Fournier (14 and 10) did it.

Wendell Carter Jr
Has 3 20+ point games in the first 5 games. He isn't camped out in the corner anymore.
He had 5 20+ games all last yr in 78 games. Is almost about to tie it through 5 games.

That's more like it.
Magic take the NBA Cup opener in Toronto, two nights after getting run off this same floor.
Bane 28. Franz 26 and 11 assists. WCJ 20. AB 17 and 10 dimes. 18 threes and way fewer turnovers.
Who was your player of the game?
