We can’t leave our older readers out of the national literacy conversation. About 70% of our 8th graders are not proficient readers, according to 2022 NAEP results. We have an opportunity to strengthen our instructional program that supports older readers in attaining the essential literacy skills for career and college readiness. Although the issue is complex, the evidence on what works for adolescent literacy creates an equitable path. Join me Wednesday, January 24th, @ 5 PM EST to explore simple, effective approaches upper-grade teachers can add to the Tier 1 classroom! Register Today: bit.ly/3RVZRiw @AIMtoLearn
