Crazy thought: I wonder if Elon is thinking about starting his own country. Buy a patch of land somewhere in the Americas and name it Spaceland.
Salesforce vs. HubSpot: company size is a poor shortcut.
One of the more complicated CRM environments we’ve evaluated had only about 50 users.
The complexity wasn’t coming from the number of salespeople. It came from everything surrounding the sales process.
The team relied on separate tools for calling, electronic signatures, event management, management reporting, and even giving salespeople visibility into designers’ schedules. These weren’t peripheral applications. They were part of how the sales process actually worked.
The company also had two distinct business models: a retail business serving end customers and a wholesale business selling through a different motion. That meant different processes, different customer relationships, and different requirements for how the CRM needed to support each side of the business.
On top of that, there were important decisions to make about where information should live and which system should be the source of truth.
That’s why shortcuts like “Salesforce is for larger companies. HubSpot is for smaller ones.” aren’t very useful.
A better place to start is with questions like:
How many different sales processes are there?
How complicated are the account relationships, such as reps, distributors, parent companies, and subsidiaries?
How many other systems need to connect to the CRM?
How many teams need different levels of access?
Is the business likely to get more complicated through acquisitions, new markets, new products, or new channels?
Company size matters.
But it’s rarely what tells you which CRM is the better fit.

Last month, it took me hours to update @Charles_SEO's AI Search Baseline Tracker for a client.
This month, it was a Grok Bot prompt.
This AI app is brilliant.

So many CRM updates...
'CRM Vendor Updates' is a weekly rundown of what shipped at Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft, Pipedrive, Zoho, Close, and AI-native CRMs like Attio, Lightfield, and Day AI.
How it works: Grok Bot digs across multiple sources every Monday morning and writes up the week. A bot pushes the information to a CRM Switch subdomain page hosted on Netlify. Only items dated the previous week make the cut, and quiet vendors get listed as such.

Grok Bot has effectively made all apps headless. If there isn't a connector (yet), there can be a UI connection through Grok Bot's computer.
If you use Grok Bot to maintain a website, you can easily create a page with an interactive map of internal links. For example, you can see posts that don't have links from other posts.
If you maintain a B2B website with Grok Bot, you can ask it to monitor multiple industry feeds and match updates with any existing content on the same topic. It can then update that existing content. Grok will give you private previews of page updates before deploying.
Don't want to give Grok Bot access to your entire Google Drive?
Create a Gmail or Google Workspace account for Grok Bot, then selectively share files and folders.
