Hey @Steam! Some feedback, if this gets on your radar: I ordered your 1TB OLED deck 16 days ago. Still haven't received it. @parcelforce UK is responsible. Didn't get much from your customer support either. I have complaint ticket numbers if you want to get in touch.

For three primary reasons but there are others. 1. Going through the motions with Scrum becomes more important than delivering. 1. Scrum is generally control-weaonized against a team. 1. You don't need it. Simple agility has four basic steps, not dizzying ceremony.

😢 R.I.P. Fred Brooks was the author of "The Mythical Man Month" a book that was hugely influential on so many of us. Also his paper "No Silver Bullet" would be on most people's shortlist of most influential papers.

I have hope that people with personality and moral flaws can change for the better. I have seen it happen and there is plenty of proof around us. If you have the opportunity to help people with flaws, give it some serious thought to follow through. teapawt.org/GarethSmall3/status/11…

post: I've updated my bliki entry on Technical Debt. The entry reflects that I find the greatest value in the metaphor is illustrating the trade-off between interest payment and paying down the principal. martinfowler.com/bliki/Techn…

Inspiring talk by @jonsmart here at #ALI2019 Always like hearing someone mentioning the Toyota way for learning organisations. Wish you good luck at Deloitte!

Great to see @mpoppendieck talking about learning and the lean principles. Been a long time since I’ve thought about efficiency vs throughput and having latent work capacity. #ALI2019

This book got me thinking of the similarities between microphone feedback and #constructivefeedback at work. 😂 I’ve had it for half a yr or longer, but just started going thru it. It seems like a solid collection of topics judging by its TOC. #thanksforthefeedback – at Lambeth, London

Friendly reminder: Impostor syndrome hits all of us, even the seniors in the field. - Hang in there if you're [jr, mid-level, sr]. - Brush off the stupid/mean remarks that others say in reflex or anger -- it's usually more about them than it is about you.
