Now New Mexico becomes New America. My suggestion: Princeton U. had "Old quad", "Old New Quad" and "New New Quad" - so call NYC "Old America", New Mexico "Old New America" and Florida "New New America". Then Trump changes his name to Donald America and all are named for him 👌
This announcement concerning my favorite application development environment by one of my favorite Oracle people is remarkable for its content and extremely well written!

To @bch_t : I thought of a requirement to simply reverse the items in a JSON array, and then discovered that REVERSE was added to JSON_TRANSFORM (in 26ai I think). JSON is improving continuosly and more rapidly than any tech I know of in the Oracle database. 👏👏👏
Extra special thanks for this, I had no idea. Sort of a shorthand for a JSON schema, but I imagine it could very often suffice.

I don't usually repost things like this, but I laughed too loudly at this so you can gauge my sense of humor.

Wow, that is so wrong in my experience. In my old company, programmers didn’t know SQL because they were forced to use ORMs. Business people, on the other hand, were sometimes experts in SQL that DBAs is didn’t even understand.
Thanks to a comment from @mentzel_iudith , I realized the older solution is fine (and much better than this alternative). See stewashton.wordpress.com/202…
Awhile back I proposed a faulty solution for using SQL macros to "parameterize" views. Here's an alternative that works (I think):

"Safe" bike space? Has this man biked in Paris? Among family and close relations, I'm up to two broken arms in the last year. No injuries from cars in the last 20 years. Even when they're "safe" for cyclists, they are *not* for pedestrians...
Air pollution has dropped significantly in #Paris in the last 15 years. Mayor Anne Hidalgo’s leadership has traded car space for green space, safe bike space, kid space.. and traded pollution for people.
Good trade.
This is very misleading. I live in Paris and traffic is worse. Rue de Rivoli is just a showcase street that runs by the town hall. The mayor simply moved the cars away from her windows.
The only Paris traffic accident in my family was bike to bike: it broke my daughter’s arm.
Remember, Paris wasn’t “always this way.”
It wasn’t even this way in late 2019 when I was last there.
Just a few years ago, #Paris was choking in car traffic much more.
This is new. This is leadership.
Cities are a result of choices.

To @NateSilver538 : in Paris I get "504 Gateway Time-out" when trying to access the Silver Bulletin.
Is there a FIBA rule against basketball coaches drawing up plays??? The French coach was just a glorified cheerleader. The players without the ball pretty much just stood around and I don't remember seeing a good screen...
Schrödinger's #OracleOCI : on June 9th, "your...WILL SOON BE reclaimed" AND "...HAS BEEN reclaimed" in the same email.
On June 23d, "...WAS reclaimed" and "...WILL BE deleted" in the same email.
Same buttons to log on to the useless console because my Tenancy is "inactive". 1/2
@Oracle should provide support for *Tenancies* whether "free" or "paid": how can I upgrade to paid if I can't get my Tenancy activated?
Bottom line: any Free Tier database can be definitively lost at any time without recourse 2/🪦
Got email entitled "Your inactive Always Free Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse *will soon be* reclaimed".
Body of message "Your inactive free database *has been* reclaimed". That was fast! #OracleADB 1/
The DB was inactive because I can't access it, because my Tenancy is "inactive". Support refused SR. No answer on forum. I can't even delete my Tenancy.
@Oracle : "integration with Kafka" means the *Apache messaging system*, not the Kafkaesque bureaucratic nightmare😒 2/2
Bonjour @infofrance2, je vous signale que l'hymne national américain s'appelle "Star-Spangled Banner" et non pas "Strangle Banner" ! 80 ans sans le savoir... Essayez de vous rappeler cela dans 10 ans et 20 ans.
