people on this website dedicate their profiles to Kingdom Hearts but lack the literacy to realize that Riku would make this claim not because its true, but rather he is actively being groomed and gaslit by Ansem who tells him everything he wants to hear to fuel his savior complex

they probably told him something like "that thing actually belongs to you and you can just yoink it out of thin air but let him use it for now because he's a scrub who needs the assist and you're so much stronger that the heartless obey you so go steal these women for me please"

i wonder if the translators chose the word "master" to refer to that word's definition as 'authority' rather than 'martial expertise' and it got weird when the term debuted properly in BBS as the latter definition and retroactively made KH1's usage awkward

the amount of people advocating for this shit and calling it a skill issue is hilarious like sure dude after the effort of having to figure out how this clashing gimmick works without any healing, the devs definitely wanted you to time the "i win" button, hell no they did not

i do appreciate the spirit of people giving solutions however, like one advised "wait for vanitas to attack" which makes it in line with the rest of the clash gimmick, or the traditional wisdom ive heard to airslide away first, but these are just workarounds for bad design

most people actually want it to at least be 2024 again, probably for this reason

Much of the room wants it to be 2016 again, but it's not. Our job, as the provider of tools and technology to much of the industry, is to design for the present that is and the future that will soon be. Personally I'm optimisic about it and see it as empowering for creators.

"empowering for creators" the other day i struck up a conversation with a deli worker at my grocery store who wanted to get into streaming, and he said that the cost of a top of the line PC he wanted for the setup would be 4000 dollars affordability is more empowering than slop
