Here's the link to the Kindle version of my Groucho memoir, RAISED EYEBROWS, which is in development as a film. Also available in paperback and audiobook (with me doing all the voices).amazon.com/Raised-Eyebrows-G…
Nice candid color (not colorized) portrait of Groucho at Sardi's restaurant for the Tony Awards after-party in April of 1968. Groucho was a presenter that year; not a nominee. (Photo by Oscar Abolafia)
For those of you who caught that clip of Trump burping (for real) at a recent rally, this is catchier than you might expect. Enjoy. youtu.be/ZvfePoni9eM?si=rEEu… via @YouTube
Harpo sampling some home-made whipped cream in his kitchen. This was part of a series of photos of "Harpo at home" that MGM released in 1937 as part of the publicity for "A Day at the Races."

You may not realize it, but you're all set to enjoy Spike Jones' colorful interpretation of Khachaturian's "Sabre Dance." (And remember: It takes a Turian to Khachaturian.) youtu.be/SGX6dkVmDoI?si=BHKD… via @YouTube
When George Burns came to Groucho's in '74, I said I'd just seen him in "International House" (1933). He told me he gave W.C. Fields a gag where he drops a sugar cube in a champagne glass, stirs his coffee, then takes a sip of water. He said, "Fields liked it and they put it in."
What's in a name? I spotted this fellow yesterday. Wouldn't his name connote expensive - possibly overpriced - services?
On this day in 1942, Michael Crichton was born in Chicago, IL. I met this brilliant and prolific 6'9" (!) doctor, author, screenwriter, producer and director through mutual friends who gifted me with this wonderfully inscribed 1st edition of his latest novel - "Jurassic Park."
On this day in 1892, Gummo Marx was born in NYC. He left the Marx Brothers act in 1918 and became a successful agent and businessman. When he was signing this 3x5 card at Groucho's house, he said, "If this was at the bottom of a check, it might actually be worth something."

Two press photos of Chico and Groucho during their October 1937 trial for plagiarism over a radio sketch they performed the previous year that had been written by two uncompensated comedy writers. They were found guilty and each was fined $1000. They appealed and it was settled.
Uncommon photo of actor/singer Ezio Pinza, Jane Powell, Groucho, and Fannie Brice on a November 1950 episode of "The Big Show" - NBC's all-star attempt to keep people glued to their radios instead of abandoning them entirely for television. Ultimately, it didn't work.
On this day in 1914, Fayard Antonio Nicholas was born in Mobile, Alabama. In the early 2000s, I had the chance to meet and chat with the elder of the magnificent Nicholas Brothers and he was kind enough to sign this printout of a photo from when they were youngsters.
Chico guest-starring on an October 1960 episode of "Championship Bridge" - and looking every day of his 73 years of age. One year later, he was dead from cardiovascular disease, ending any hopes for a reunion of the Three or Four Marx Brothers.
