Dear @elonmusk ,
We love this platform. We genuinely do. X is a cool place, a place where freedom still matters, and where we get to meet people from all walks of life.
I've recently started exploring AI illustration, and honestly, it's incredible. The creative possibilities seem almost limitless.
But along the way, I've discovered something rather frustrating: my fellow artists and I, whether we work with AI, traditional techniques, or digital painting, all seem to face the same problem.
A little exposed skin? A beautifully shaped breast? A pair of long, smooth, shaved legs?
And suddenly, the algorithm seems unfortunately to go wild
Our work gets flagged, our visibility drops, and sometimes it feels as though our creations are practically buried.
And that becomes a real problem when all we're trying to do is share our art, our imagination, and our creations. Yes, sometimes they're daring. Sometimes they're sensual. But since when should creative freedom be something shameful?
Freedom of creation is not a crime. It is not something to be ashamed of. It is one of the most fundamental qualities of any thinking, imaginative being whose creativity is alive and moving.
I'm just one artist, but I've been looking into this, reading, researching, and trying to understand how these systems might work.
And I believe I may have an idea worth considering.
I'm not a professional developer or an expert in X's infrastructure. But conceptually, I don't think I'm completely off track.
And I simply can't bring myself to stay silent or do nothing.
I've also encountered the limitations of customer support, which I understand. Changing the underlying mechanisms of a giant platform like X isn't something a support representative can simply do.
So I'm bringing this idea directly to you.
If I've misunderstood something, or if my proposal contains some spectacular technical nonsense, I apologize in advance! I'm certainly not perfect.
But the intention behind it is sincere, and I believe the issue deserves some thought.
Here's what I'd like to propose: 2/ see screenshots :) 3. Technical feasibility
Proposed feature | Feasibility
-----------------|----------------------------------
Individual 18+ flag | Straightforward
Server-side flag processing | Straightforward
Age-gated adult access | Established technical approach
Artwork / photo classification | Possible, imperfect
Prevent duplicate NSFW penalties | Technically achievable
Preserve eligible adult discovery | Achievable with ranking-policy changes
4/ The core principle:
A creator who voluntarily and correctly labels permitted adult artwork should not automatically suffer additional visibility penalties simply because that artwork contains nudity or sensual imagery.
The 18+ flag should protect minors, not unnecessarily bury artists.
This would not disable moderation, exempt prohibited content, or interfere with the platform's other safety policies.
It would simply separate age restriction from algorithmic suppression, at the individual media-file level.
The technical building blocks already exist in modern content platforms. The challenge is integrating them into X's moderation and recommendation architecture.
Protect minors. Respect creators. Preserve artistic freedom.

False policy flags are killing creative work on Seedance.
You cannot build professional creative tools if users are constantly wasting time fighting prompts that violate nothing.
We’ve had copyright frameworks for decades. If a user knowingly misuses someone else’s IP, hold the user accountable. That’s how we’ve treated creative tools for years. This isn’t rocket science.
Instead, we’re in 2026 watching legitimate creative work get blocked because AI companies are acting as though they’re responsible for every user’s output. You’re not. That’s the wrong approach. Punish bad actors, not every creator trying to do legitimate work.
I also can’t help but wonder if part of this is simple economics. Going after thousands of individual users is expensive. Going after one well-funded, high-profile company is a lot easier. Funny how the target always seems to be the one with the money, right? 🤣
To the companies willing to stand up to this instead of folding to pressure: the creative community notices. I know I do. I’ll support the companies building tools for creators instead of treating every user like a potential criminal.
Stop building moderation that assumes guilt. Build systems that identify actual abuse instead of drowning professionals in false positives.
Creators need reliable models, not permission slips. 🤦♂️

⚠️ Heads up, AI community!
There's a group of spammers actively targeting people in the AI space with phishing attempts.
If you receive a message claiming to share a document through DocSend (or a similar platform) and it asks you to download an app or executable to view it, don't fall for it. Legitimate document-sharing services don't require you to install random software just to access a file.
