October 6th was the last time StoryTrading issued a GREEN macro risk signal. Since then, we've remained defensive, maintaining either RED or YELLOW alerts as market conditions warranted. Today, we officially upgraded back to GREEN, anticipating a shift toward a more favorable risk-on environment, which paid off nicely for members following our Morning Note. Identifying changes in the broader market environment is just as important as identifying individual trade opportunities. Four years ago today, @elonmusk acquired Twitter for $44 billion. Since then, he's transformed it into 𝕏, integrating AI through Grok, expanding creator monetization, introducing long-form content, and bringing financial services to the platform through X Money. But I think the biggest accomplishment goes beyond the technology. He's fundamentally changed how information is distributed, how independent creators build businesses, and how people participate in the global conversation. What started as a social media acquisition is evolving into something much larger: a platform connecting information, artificial intelligence, commerce, and financial services. Thank you, Elon, for taking a $44 billion bet on what the future of this platform could become. Excited to see what you have in store for us over the next four years!

An important shift in market sentiment is beginning to take shape, with risk appetite returning across technology, particularly AI, memory, and photonics. After identifying Friday's potential bottoming signal, we upgraded our market risk signal to green in today's Morning Note, anticipating further upside as oversold technical conditions began improving across several key sectors. Historically, the period following midterm elections through year-end has been favorable for equities, and I believe we're beginning to see investors position ahead of that seasonal window. The recovery in high-beta technology and improving market participation are encouraging signs that sentiment may be shifting from defensive positioning toward greater risk appetite. However, seasonality alone doesn't determine market direction. Tomorrow's FOMC decision and upcoming earnings from $GOOGL, $MSFT, $AMZN, and $INTC represent significant catalysts that could either reinforce the recovery or challenge its sustainability. The key distinction is whether this rally develops into sustained institutional accumulation or remains a short-term rebound from oversold conditions. Understanding when the broader market regime is changing is just as important as identifying which individual stocks stand to benefit.

$AEHR now up 11% today after yesterday's gap fill near the $53 level, which was highlighted as a buy zone in yesterday's Morning Note. After a 63% pullback from its August highs, the stock is seeing a significant rebound off that area.
$AEHR just completed a gap fill dating back to April of this year near the $53 level. The stock has now pulled back approximately 63.3% from its August all-time highs of $147.40, currently trading around $54.06. An interesting technical development worth highlighting.

Something significant is developing in the memory industry. Chinese cloud giants are reportedly seeking DRAM supply agreements extending through 2035, a substantial departure from the traditional 3–5 year contract structure. This reinforces a thesis we've been discussing at StoryTrading: AI infrastructure demand could be transforming memory from a traditionally cyclical industry into one with greater long-term revenue visibility and pricing power. When customers begin prioritizing decade-long supply security, it tells you something about their expectations for future demand. $SKHY $MU $SNDK $DRAM $WDC $STX $RMBS

$SOFI's Q3 earnings may represent an important inflection point in the company's evolution from a digital lender into a diversified financial services platform. The company delivered $1.37B in adjusted revenue (+44% YoY), $470M in adjusted EBITDA (+70% YoY), and $241M in GAAP net income. More importantly, management raised FY2026 revenue guidance to $5.04B and introduced a FY2027 outlook of $6.4B in adjusted revenue and $0.90 EPS. But what I find particularly interesting is the company's ambition to reach 100 million financial products by 2030, up from approximately 26.7 million today, while building 15 businesses generating at least $8B in combined annual revenue. That's an implied product growth rate of roughly 36% annually through the remainder of the decade. The investment thesis increasingly revolves around operating leverage and customer monetization. As existing members adopt additional banking, lending, investing, and financial products, $SOFI has the opportunity to expand revenue per customer without proportionately increasing acquisition costs. Our Chief StoryTrader Ben recognized the significance of today's earnings catalyst early, identifying a $15.50–$17.50 intraday target range that has already been reached. The bigger question now is whether management can sustain this growth while maintaining credit quality, controlling dilution, and delivering stronger returns on capital. The most compelling part of the $SOFI story isn't simply customer growth. It's the potential earnings power of an increasingly integrated financial ecosystem.

Our Chief StoryTrader @BenRTrader highlighted that he was chasing $SOFI this morning, calling the company's raised guidance “huge.” $SOFI raised its FY2026 adjusted EPS guidance from $0.60 to $0.90, well above the $0.59 consensus, while increasing revenue guidance to $5.04B versus $4.874B expected. Ben identified a $15.50–$17.50 intraday target range, which the stock has now reached.

🚨 Breaking: Justin LeBeau reportedly disclosed a 5.4% ownership stake in $SNES, representing 294,773 shares, in a Schedule 13D filing calling for greater capital discipline, reduced operating expenses, and an end to dilutive equity offerings. With @SenesTech reporting preliminary Q3 revenue growth of 55% YoY to a record $1.1M, the emphasis on improving operating efficiency, reducing cash burn, and limiting shareholder dilution comes at a critical point in the company's growth trajectory. I expected the administration to push harder to bring oil prices down ahead of the midterms, yet here we are with energy prices still elevated. My bigger concern is what happens after November 3. If negotiations with Iran continue to stall and military conflict resumes, we could be looking at another energy shock just as higher costs are beginning to strain consumers, corporate margins, and economic growth. The market is focused on the price of oil today. I'm more concerned about the cumulative economic damage if prices remain elevated into 2027.

The $MSFT announcement offering voluntary buyouts to approximately 60,000 employees may be signaling a much larger structural shift in corporate America. Microsoft is projected to spend approximately $190B on capital expenditures in calendar 2026, largely driven by AI infrastructure. Meanwhile, management is actively reevaluating its workforce and operating expenses. To be clear, 60,000 employees are being offered buyouts, not being laid off. What I find particularly interesting is the emerging relationship between AI investment and labor productivity. Companies are increasingly allocating capital toward data centers, computing infrastructure, and automation while simultaneously looking to generate more revenue with fewer employees. And Microsoft isn't alone. We're seeing similar workforce restructuring initiatives across $META, $ORCL, and other major corporations. I believe this could become one of the defining corporate trends over the next several years. The traditional relationship between revenue growth and headcount expansion may be fundamentally changing. The question for investors is whether these enormous AI investments translate into sustainable productivity gains, margin expansion, and stronger free cash flow, or whether companies are simply reducing labor costs to finance an increasingly capital-intensive AI arms race.

In today's Morning Note, we highlighted dip buying as one of our top trade ideas, with $AEHR among our preferred setups. We identified the $53–$55 range as a potential buying opportunity, which played out perfectly for those following along and bought the dip.

Funny how market sentiment works. $NBIS at $150 and nobody wants to touch it. At $250, suddenly everyone will want to talk about it.....

I think it’s a good day to start wearing my @nebiusai shirt. $NBIS in the $150s is comical… almost back to the July lows despite dozens of positive developments and data points over the past few months including blowout Q2 earnings when we heard for the first time that short term contracts are getting done at $50M+ per MW.
