Two groups of Indian vendors fighting in a small town in western Nepal. Indians are increasingly disrupting our peaceful communities. It’s time to regulate the border, introduce a visa regime, and send home those without valid visas. @PM_nepal_ @ShahBalen
The @ShahBalen government is also handing over our young Nepali girls orphaned by the Trishuli mudslides to foreign men. The picture is from the thumbnail of a YouTube video.

Over the past eight months, IOC has overcharged NOC by NPR 82 billion. This isn’t about fuel price increases caused by the West Asia conflict; it’s about overcharging. Now the Nepal government wants to borrow money from India to pay for what IOC has taken from us. @ShahBalen

Did you two discuss the IOC overcharging Nepal by tens of billions of rupees?
Until 10 months ago, petrol and diesel in KTM cost NPR 7/liter more than in Delhi. Today the gap is NPR 55 for petrol and NPR 64 for diesel after accounting for NPR 18 tax cut. @ShahBalen @VikramMisri
Indian Foreign Secretary Mr Vikram Misri paid a courtesy call on Rt. Hon. Prime Minister Mr Balendra Shah at Singhadurbar today.
They discussed various aspects of Nepal-India relations and ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
Prime Minister Shah expressed gratitude to the Government of India for its prompt support, including relief supplies and rescue teams, following the devastating Rasuwa-Bhotekoshi floods. He also appreciated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s solidarity and enquired about opportunities for cooperation in sports development.
Foreign Secretary Misri briefed the Prime Minister on preparations for his upcoming visit to India and the progress of bilateral cooperation in energy, water resources, trade, transit and aviation. He also informed that a trial run of the Ayodhya-Janakpur railway service was conducted today.
Until 10 months ago, petrol and diesel in Kathmandu cost just NPR 7/litre more than in Delhi.
Since then, Nepal has cut fuel taxes by NPR 18/liter, yet petrol is now NPR 37/liter and diesel NPR 48/liter more expensive than in Delhi. Why? @ShahBalen @shisir @PM_nepal_ @NepalOil
How is it that seemingly every other barber shop in Nepal is owned and operated by Indians? How do they obtain work permits, and are they even paying taxes? @PM_nepal_ @ShahBalen
Why are Indians allowed to run businesses rent-free on our streets while Nepalis have to pay rent for their shops? @ktm_metro @SunitaDangol_ @PM_nepal_ @ShahBalen @hello_sarkar
If we want to attract high-spending tourists, we can’t promote scums as tourists. There is a reason why some hotels and Airbnbs in Pokhara don’t allow Indians scums.
EDITORIAL: Win back Indian travellers
October’s sharp drop in Indian arrivals exposes Nepal’s tourism industry’s vulnerability.

NEPAL could be correct. Around 140 million years ago, the Tethys Ocean existed north of Nepal, before the plate Nepal sat on collided with Eurasia. The region may have contained thousands of islands. She is probably offering a historical clue.
Indian Oil Corporation is heavily overcharging Nepal Oil Corporation for over 8 months now. IOC has already profited several billion rupees illegally from NOC. Is there anything you can do? @ShahBalen @PM_nepal_ @hello_sarkar
Pretty much all Nepalis on American passport traveling to Nepal for Dashain and Tihar. Why bother deciphering this little nuisance, right?
US overtakes India as Nepal’s largest tourism source market for first time
American arrivals surged 31 percent in October, while Indian visitors fell 30 percent as the August floods disrupted pilgrimage routes and dampened travel from Nepal’s traditionally biggest source market.

The Nagdhunga Tunnel has long queues at the toll booths. To reduce congestion, either offer a 50% discount to N-Tag (RFID) users or charge double the toll to drivers paying in cash.

Hey @flydubai “Subcontinent” is an informal geographic term, not a strict scientific classification. None of the countries you’ve listed under the “Indian subcontinent” wants to be associated with India. The label only reinforces Indian influence. Use “South Asia” instead.
Why does Nepal build gates everywhere- in every city, village, community, and along every road and highway? I’m sick of these ugly, pointless structures that obstruct views and create traffic hazards. Rather, replace river pulleys in villages with proper bridges. @PM_nepal_
At least 10 violations have occurred, but Balen and his cronies are acting like, “not me, not me.” Is that it? No investigation? No top officials fired yet? Is this how they intend to run the country?
