After nearly 24 years, Officer Jason Skalicky has completed his final shift with the #FargoPD, on Friday, September 11, 2026, closing out a career dedicated to serving the residents and visitors of Fargo. Officer Skalicky started his career in patrol, where he spent nine years before becoming a detective. During those nine years as a detective, Officer Skalicky served on every team within the division before making his way back to patrol for the final nearly six years of his career, most recently on Day Shift. Along the way, Officer Skalicky helped mentor numerous officers, sharing his experience and helping those around him grow. But when asked what he enjoyed most about his career, Officer Skalicky didn't point to a particular assignment or accomplishment. He talked about the people. The officers he worked alongside every day, and the relationships built over nearly 24 years. He was grateful for the opportunity to serve a city like Fargo, where he says he always felt the support of the community. Thank you, Officer Skalicky, for nearly 24 years of service, friendship and commitment to the Fargo community. We are grateful for the time you gave to #FargoPD and wish you nothing but the best in your retirement from law enforcement.
