The 9/2/26 filing follows President Trump’s reduction of Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monuments by 91 and 90 percent respectively. Nearly 3 million acres of land lost national monument protections in largest cut to public lands protection in U.S. history.

Happy #AnimationMonday on the 25th anniversary of the release of Osmosis Jones! 26+ years ago a bunch of us crazy biologists got to work with Tom Sito and his crew bouncing around crazy ideas for the film. I still use parts of it in my human Anat&Phys course! #SVPPresident

30 years ago Bears Ears Ntnl Monument was protected. I’ve done paleontology there & I was consultant for the film Spirit. Trump has now gutted BENM where Spirit first ran free. Lend your voice to protect these public lands. #SVPPresident #SpiritStallionoftheCimmaron #BearsEars

I have joined over 150 other scientists in speaking out against attempts to overturn protections for Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. We call on the U.S. Congress to oppose any attempt to overturn protections for the beloved science monument.  monumentsforall.org/grandsta…
