That commercial with the Teams “ding” is so triggering.

On one hand, I feel very disappointed & sad bc they won those first 2 and only needed ONE more win. And, there won’t be baseball next year, so we won’t see them again until at least 2028. OTOH, they weren’t supposed to be here. They were a lot of fun for a lot of the summer.

I'm currently parked outside of the rescue unable to go inside because of people doing drugs on our doorstep.. I'm really going to need help with fundraising to move us to a safer location, guys, it just keeps getting worse at this location and I'm always stressed about the cats

Sean Burke, in describing the @WhiteSox chemistry, said the typical journey of a minor league player involves making a few friends at every stop along the way. This is different. "I feel like I took all my friends together and made a baseball team," he said. @MLBNetwork

Tyson Bagent on how Case Keenum broke the news that Bagent was starting: "Case hit me asking what time I was getting to the facility. I got in, and he was telling me how appreciative he was of me during his start, and then told me he hopes I have a night like he had, and that this week is my week because I'm starting. He's a top-two teammate I've ever had, and he's definitely not two. I gave him a big hug, told him how much he meant to me, and then it was business as usual going forward." Gotta love Case, such a great Leader.

So, I cancel my WhiteSox only plan now that the season is over, but I can’t subscribe to the Hawks stream until my current auto-renew plan is fully expired. Am I missing something, @CHSN__ ? Cause that seems silly.

I assumed he was a dope like his dad. Glad to be wrong (on this issue at least)
The opposition to the Protect College Sports Act seems to be getting stronger. Will it be enough to prevent its passage?

Local ABC affiliate just said the Cubs have a “magic wand” in PCA. Come on, that’s our thing.

My cat was a holy terror when I got him. Drawing blood & everything. It literally took me ensuring that I was engaging with him-a LOT. Like, frequent active play. Mixing it up. Got him on some prozac for awhile. It helped a little. After that, it was just time. Hes still a lot.

But not nearly as bad as he was. I don’t think he had been properly socialized as a baby. He’s also incredibly sweet and snuggly. He needed to feel safe and secure before he stopped being reactive.

Never thought I’d need to use my winter time “happy” light in the summer, but here we are.

I still can’t believe this WhiteSox team is in first place and it’s August. I am definitely enjoying the ride.

Six months after the killing of her son, Alex Pretti, his mother is sharing a heartbreaking message about the grief she says has only deepened with time. In an emotional post marking the six-month anniversary of Alex’s death, she writes that no one has been held accountable and says her family has never received an apology or even a single phone call from government officials, hospital personnel, or the Minneapolis Police Department. At the same time, she expressed profound gratitude for the overwhelming support her family has received from people around the world, urging others to continue speaking out and never forget what Alex stood for. Her full statement: “Today marks the six-month anniversary of Alex’s murder. No-one has been held accountable, no apologies, not a single phone call from any governmental official, hospital personnel, or the Mpls police dept. Six-months of pain, a roller-coaster of trauma over and over. Every time another a death, another mention, a picture, a tribute, a sorrow so deep. I wonder how to move forward. Will I ever get over this loss and this pain? Will I ever be able to enjoy life again? How does one live knowing that I have no power to change what has happened? And yet the out-reach not only from Minnesota, but from around the world has been nothing less than spectacular. Every card, every gift, every heartfelt letter has been read, touched, held, and cherished by us all. The kindness you’ve all shown us is beyond words. Please never forget Alex and what he believed in ~ equality and peace for all. I will remember the things that made you, you. It will never take your memory. As long as I’m here, you will never be forgotten. For all you asking what you can do. Continue this fight. Never give up your right to speak out, protect your neighbor, your community and don’t forget to spend time with those you love…”

Everyone complaining about T&Ts wedding venue clearly isn’t old enough to remember what happened at Madonna and Sean Penn’s wedding.

With this week’s weather and last night’s storms, it feels like a crime to be inside. There isn’t a cloud in the sky. Positively perfect out there.
