One thing no one is talking about is how this show is humanizing the elders. Mama G being shunned by her father as a pastor. Big Daddy having to leave the south because of racism and power. It’s easy to scapegoat them because they seem hypocritical but black folks of a certain age have scars the youth can’t really grasp.
