When was 10 or 11, I missed the week of school before spring break. Packing to go to the cabin with my grandparents and Mom, she said, "Be sure to pack your homework." There was plenty of space left in the suitcase, so I filled it with books.

What is it that makes you fall in love with a character? Attitude? Voice? Things you have in common?
I love characters the author brings to life. Although I feel I would know them on the street, the author seldom spends a lot of time on physical descriptions.

Tea break and then back to character development. If I don't give each character different characteristics now, I risk creating a herd of carbon copies later on.
