Chuffed to bits that TSL recognise the importance of my story in highlighting the issue of child trafficking.
For ages 13-16, this compelling YA novel from @SueBarrow1 raises vital awareness of human trafficking.
A page-turner that should be shared with all young people. 📖

Today on #Lectio365 we're reflecting on the staggering wonder of a God who would suffer – a God of incomprehensible power whose most powerful act came not through action but surrender.

Please think of this when buying your Easter eggs.
Nearly 1.5 million children are caught in #childlabour across the cocoa industry, with many exposed to dangerous chemicals that burn their skin & affect their breathing. This #Easter2023, find out just how “ethical” our favourite chocolate is: bit.ly/3TOPKeq

The recent #IllegalMigrationBill 📜 conflates #peoplesmuggling and #humantrafficking - but they are different.
We are calling for the government to remove the #modernslavery clauses in the Bill, and ensure survivors are protected - rather than traffickers.

So important to highlight this. Thank you Teresa May.

Globally, children make up roughly 1 in 4 victims of #modernslavery. The more of us that are aware of the signs to spot and where to report suspected cases, the easier it is to tackle. For free, confidential help/advice, call us on 08000 121 700

With the #IllegalMigrationBill, it's important to remember the #TruthaboutTrafficking:
"Experience tells us that #slavery must not be treated as #immigration issue. Regardless of how someone comes to be exploited in the UK, safeguarding must be at heart of our response."
