Andrej Karpathy’s 1-hour Stanford lecture on AI engineering might be one of the best explanations of how modern AI systems actually work. The progression he lays out is surprisingly simple: 10% → LLM 30% → Prompt 50% → Agent 70% → Loop 100% → Graph And that progression explains something important: AI engineering is NOT just about writing better prompts. A prompt is only one small part of the system. The real leverage comes from everything you build around the model: → Context → Memory → Tools → Data → Feedback → Execution loops → Multiple agents → Workflows and dependencies A basic LLM answers a question. An agent can take an action. A loop lets the system evaluate, improve, and try again. But a graph connects all of these pieces into a larger system where information, decisions, tools, and agents can flow together. That’s the shift happening in AI engineering. We’re moving from: “Give the model a prompt.” to: “Build a system that lets the model actually do the work.” One line from the lecture captures the idea perfectly: “Delete everything, keep Graph.” If you’re building AI agents, workflows, or AI-powered products, this lecture is definitely worth watching. Watch it once. Then bookmark it. You’ll probably come back to it. #AI #AIAgents #AIEngineering

Tomorrow, October 23, Apple launches its first foldable iPhone. It's called the iPhone Duo, and it starts at $1,999. Let that number sink in for a second. Most people have never spent that much on a phone. Some people have never spent that much on a laptop. So when a phone arrives at that price, the question isn't just "is it good?" It's "is it good enough to justify this?" The early reviews are in, and they're a mix of real praise and clear criticism. Many reviewers praise the sturdy hinge. They like the impressive battery life. They see multitasking potential on the big inside screen, which opens to 7.6 inches from a 5.4-inch outer display. They like the glare-reducing nano-texture finish on the inner screen, and some of them are openly excited about a new kind of iPhone experience. At the same time, reviewers criticize the weight, at 254 grams. They don't like Touch ID on the side button instead of Face ID. They say the cameras are a step behind the iPhone 18 Pro's, with no dedicated telephoto lens. And they point out that some apps aren't yet optimized for the foldable design. Some reviewers embrace it. Others suggest waiting until the software catches up. Same phone. Same price. Different priorities. If you're trying to decide whether this is a phone you'd love or a phone you'd regret, you don't need to pick a side yet. You need to know what each point of view is actually about, and which of those points matter to you. Here's the full breakdown: 🧵

For 70 years, we were told plastic was safe because it doesn't react with anything. Nature just published proof that it does. And the trigger is water. Researchers at Columbia University and UC Berkeley took six of the most common plastics on Earth. Polyethylene. Polypropylene. Polystyrene. PVC. PET. Acrylic. The stuff in your water bottles, food containers, pipes and packaging. They ground them into microplastics and dropped them into plain water. Nothing else. No sunlight. No chemicals. Just plastic and water. And the water started changing. At the surface of every single plastic, it began producing hydroxyl radicals. One of the most reactive and destructive molecules in chemistry. All six plastics did it. Every one. To prove it, they added a yellow dye to water with polystyrene. Over 10 days, nearly 90% of the dye was destroyed. The water turned almost clear. In other liquids, the dye survived. Only water made the plastic active. In plain English: The plastic isn't leaking a toxic chemical. It is turning the water around it into something that attacks. Then they tested what that does to living things. DNA and proteins got pulled onto the plastic surface like magnets. Proteins started clumping together. And red blood cells that touched the particles were torn into broken fragments. But here is the twist. The most dangerous plastics were the ones we trusted most. Polyethylene and polypropylene, the "safe" plastics in bottles and food containers, were the most reactive of all. The effect was weaker in blood serum. But it was still there. And microplastics have already been found in human blood, brains, placentas and arteries. The lead researcher said it plainly: "Water is a key active player here, rather than just a spectator." We spent decades asking what chemicals leak out of plastic. Nobody thought to ask what plastic does to the water inside us. How many times have you sipped from a plastic bottle today?

🚨 This is EXTREMELY dangerous. I just saw an 18-year-old kid explain how he makes $10,000/month using AI on autopilot while he sleeps, and 99% of creators are still sleeping on this. The entire system: 1. Pick a YouTube channel that posts consistently. 2. Paste the link into the AI tool. 3. Connect your TikTok, IG, and YouTube Shorts accounts. 4. Close your laptop. From there, the AI handles literally everything. It detects new videos, extracts the most viral moments, adds auto-captions, and publishes across all platforms automatically. 1M Views ≈ $2,000 • Zero editing • Zero manual posting • Zero stress 10 minutes of setup, then it runs on full autopilot. You’re no longer just creating content—you’re running an automated content factory. Bookmark this before it gets saturated. 🔖
