I’m ok. Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement. For ten years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies and smear campaigns. This is just the latest escalation in his campaign of political intimidation. I will not be silenced.

Summer Lee: Chairman Comer—I use the word “chairman” really loosely now, because honestly, he’s not acting like a chairman. And I have to ask: Is Donald Trump the chairman of this committee, or are you the chairman of this committee?

I introduced a motion to subpoena the Epstein files. We got the votes. Today, we got the subpoena. The DOJ has 2 weeks to release the Epstein files to the Oversight Committee. Justice must apply to everyone, no matter how rich, powerful, or well-connected they are.

The House subcommittee just PASSED my motion to subpoena the Epstein files. The DOJ must now release them to the Oversight Committee. The American people deserve transparency and accountability, and his victims deserve justice. The wealthy and powerful are not above the law.
I just offered a motion to subpoena the Epstein files. If Republicans really want to find ways to protect children from being trafficked, let’s get to it.

It’s disturbing how many warmongers there are in Congress—on both sides of the aisle, really—but I’m not sure when being a Democrat meant normalizing bloodlust for killings abroad. Not exactly a value of neighbors and families like mine from Braddock or Pittsburgh or anywhere else in PA. People will die.

Pittsburgh has been inundated with racist, AntiBlack mailers that the establishment refuses to condemn or ban. It’s beyond time we protect our elections from nefarious bigots who seek to harm our communities and to stop us all from thriving.
I have a bill to abolish super PACs—not only bc they seem to have a proclivity for shady, vaguely racist tactics—but bc no corporation, special interest group, or bored billionaire should have more influence in our elections + government than you just bc they have endless money

McMahon: I’d like to look into it more and get back to you on it. Lee: How about the book from Ruby Bridges? McMahon: I haven’t read that Lee: Have you learned about Ruby Bridges? McMahon: If you have specific examples— Lee: That was a specific example
