I was heartbroken to learn of Coventry Township Trustee George Beckham’s sudden passing yesterday. George faithfully served the residents of Coventry for decades, first as the Township Zoning Inspector and then as a Trustee.
He deeply loved the community he called home. He also served Summit County is various roles, including as a member of Planning Commission and the Opiate Abatement Advisory Council.
George’s long career of public service made a difference in Coventry, Summit County and beyond.
The Akron-Summit Holocaust Arts and Writing Contest Educator Seminar is taking place on Wednesday, October 28, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Shaw JCC.
