This is a good time to revisit @cskoentges’s epic Swerve cover story about Nenshi’s 2010 campaign. It’s not on the Herald website because Postmedia nuked the Swerve archives [shakes fist] but here’s a PDF. Photo by Randy Gibson. #yyccc themagazineschool.ca/files/2…

Today's the one-year anniversary of @SwerveCalgary's death. I figured I'd pull another favourite from the archive. The No. 1 Bus by Erik Froese is a 2006 cover story that looks to one of the city's oldest bus routes as a model for future transit. drive.google.com/open?id=1Xu…

Hey, @SwerveCalgary. We won an @albertamags award! Thanks @weir_bruce and @theJonRoe and Brent. It was rad to work with you on this story and all the others.
Congrats to @edward_upward who gets the distinction of not only being the last cover author for @SwerveCalgary, but also the last contributor nominated for an @albertamags award for this March 2018 essay calgaryherald.com/life/swerv…

All good things must come to an end. I don't really know what to say about this sad news, but I thought I'd share some of my favourite Swerve stories from the archives (forgive the tweet storm).
Sad news: Swerve has been discontinued. Listings will continue in the Herald and online in the fall, but we are gone. Thanks for reading, writing, illustrating, photographing and advertising for these 14 years.

The finest dinner companion a city could have, @GilchristJohn looks back on his 38 years of being a food critic. If we were reviewing his final Swerve article, we'd call it bittersweet. calgaryherald.com/life/swerv…

The keys were clearly for safety deposit boxes, but in which vaults those boxes might be found was the mystery. A chance discovery turns @dinnerwithjulie into a modern-day Nancy Drew. calgaryherald.com/life/swerv…
