This is the most tone-deaf, nonsensical response to an issue of this magnitude I’ve ever witnessed from an NFL head coach. Like, this is a completely fireable offense. What if he had shot another player? ONE OF YOUR PLAYERS SHOOTING ANOTHER. Insane.

Dear Louie- There's 4 other golfers committed, FOUR. LIV 2.0 is going to be a Sunday morning skins game at muni's with like 8 players if they are lucky - live streamed on their phones. Are you SURE this was the hardest decision of your pro career???? 😂😂😂😂 Do we all look dumb AND stupid? FFS.
Statement: Louis Oosthuizen has confirmed that he will not re-sign with LIV Golf for its next chapter, choosing instead to return to the DP World Tour in January 2027 in what he describes as the hardest decision of his professional career. The 2010 Open Champion will step away from his playing role and captaincy at Southern Guards GC, the all-South African team he has led since LIV Golf's inception and one that remains deeply personal to him. "Five years ago, I made one of the best decisions of my life, moving away from the traditional golf world and into something very special with LIV Golf and Southern Guards GC," said Oosthuizen. "I'm the biggest supporter of team golf and always will be. Golf needs more of it." Despite his strong belief in the team format, Oosthuizen believes a more flexible playing schedule will give him the best opportunity to compete at the level he still expects of himself. "I realised I have a lot more in me, and my biggest fear was that the schedule on LIV 2.0 would be tough to manage," he explained. "I feel I have a few more years of good, competitive golf left in me, and the only way to be really sharp and competitive is through a schedule I control." For Oosthuizen, the decision has been particularly difficult because of his connection to Southern Guards GC, his teammates and the people who have helped build the team. "Southern Guards is my team. It always has been and it always will be. That's what makes this so difficult," he said. "This is probably the hardest decision I've had to make in my career, but I have to do what I believe is right for my golf. It doesn't change how I feel about the team or the guys." The all-South African team has been a significant part of Oosthuizen's career over the past five seasons, bringing him together with longtime friends Charl Schwartzel, Branden Grace and Dean Burmester. One of the defining moments of that journey came in March 2026 when LIV Golf made its historic South African debut at Steyn City, where Southern Guards GC finished second in front of their home supporters, the team's best result of the season. Oosthuizen has previously described bringing LIV Golf to South Africa as one of the proudest achievements of his career. "Bringing LIV Golf to South Africa was one of the best things I've done in my career. It was for the people of South Africa, and I think it was a great success. That's the best thing that came out of this year." Reflecting on his time with the league, Oosthuizen expressed his gratitude to those who made the journey possible. "I'll always be grateful to PIF and LIV for what they did for me. I made new friends and got even closer to my current friends and family," he said. While Oosthuizen's immediate focus will be on returning to individual competition on the DP World Tour, he emphasised that Southern Guards GC will always hold a special place in his heart. Oosthuizen's next competitive appearance will be at the 65th Link Hong Kong Open, taking place from 22–25 October 2026 at the historic Hong Kong Golf Club in Fanling. He will then turn his attention to preparing for the 2027 season, with his return to the DP World Tour scheduled for January.

Rockets fans who “know ball” talking about how great this team looks after one half of beating up a 30 win team on their way to the NBA Finals is absolutely hilarious to me as well as sad.

Had this and the matching refrigerator that’s still working as a garage fridge.
Did anyone grow up with one of these in their kitchen?

Can’t believe @DunningGolf went with Michael Brennan over me. What has he done? I know he has finished top-10 three consecutive years at the Alpena City Open.

Carson Young struggled on the weekend of the KFT Tour Championship. Watching scores on TV was too hard So he locked himself in a bathroom stall, sat on top of the toilet and watched to see if he’d be going back to the Tour A: apple.co/4sdJDBz S: bit.ly/3VNwJOO

My HOA fined me $75 because my mailbox is "the wrong shade of black." They're right, technically. So I read the entire 80 page rulebook. Highlighter and everything. By Sunday I had found out the board treasurer's fence is two feet too tall, the vice president's RV has been parked in his driveway for three years, and the same fine they just charged me has never once been billed to the board president, who repaints his front door a new color every spring. I didn't argue. I paid the $75, thanked them for the "helpful reminder," and mailed each board member a polite letter with the exact page and rule number for their own violation. I also attached a blank copy of the neighborhood complaint form for each of them. Then I put my mailbox back to its original color and waited. Last night a flyer showed up on every porch on the street: "Emergency Community Meeting, Thursday, 7 PM. Attendance Strongly Encouraged." I've already printed 40 copies of the rulebook. This is about to become everyone's problem. What would you do?

21 years of new putter tech. Tour make rate from 4–8 ft: 69.9% in 2005, 69.0% in 2026. Most players switch to a mallet after a bad year, and bad years bounce back on their own. The stroke makes putts. The putter just gets the credit.

The reason former MLB players and Baseball X “Gurus” clash so often is simple: One side sees the game through information. The other has experienced the variables behind that information. Without firsthand experience, baseball can appear black and white. The numbers say something, so the conclusion must be obvious. But anyone who’s played knows baseball isn’t a mathematical equation with one correct answer. There are countless variables that numbers alone can’t fully explain. Feel, adjustments, instincts, execution, confidence, preparation, and thousands of repetitions. That’s where the disconnect happens. Someone armed with data believes they’re objectively correct. A former player recognizes the context and variables being overlooked. Data can tell you what happened. It doesn’t always explain why it happened. And that’s why these arguments go in circles. The issue isn’t analytics versus experience. It’s believing that understanding the numbers automatically means understanding the game.

One time in college, a bunch of people on Greek row wrote me in on the ballot for Mayor because they thought I was one of the nicest people ever as a joke. I took 1.3% of the vote and my nickname senior year was “the mayor”
I’ll be running for president in 2028 and not sending a single text message to you. I’m running on that single issue. And I will win.
