🧵 I'm starting a thread of one-page-long album reviews here today.
I aim to go through all albums I saved to my library this year.
I will try to go chronologically, but cannot promise anything.

It’s just funny to me that no one has anything to say about Babylon bc it doesn’t fit their narrative that she can’t write anymore
Taylor writing the mess that is Canceled only to have a falling out with Bl*ke a few months later is so...
Feeling generous, so I'm only skipping Eldest Daughter when I'm listening through.
Even Wish List and Honey are seemingly enjoyable these days

and that's why I give her grace for putting out an album that's a bit of a stumble because LOOK at what she's done prior. she's proven how great an artist she is and how phenomenal a writer she is. everyone seems to forget the fact that every artist, even the greats and the legends, have artistic highs and lows; works that are widely considered their best works vs one that is widely considered their weakest. but it's only Taylor that's dragged to filth for it; so severely that people will even discredit all her previous artistry with misogynistic remarks like saying her ex wrote these previous great works.
This was psychological torture.
Cleveland ended that mess.
"I miss taylor's work when she was with Joe"
when she was with Joe: xitter.cf/cinnamonnboi/status/18…
The implications of going from
"Now you hang from my lips like the gardens of Babylon"
To
"Babylon lovers hanging missed calls on the vine"
To
"You never knew that it was Babylon until it was gone"
Producers I want Taylor to work with:
-Jeff Bhaskers (Holy Ground)
-Imogen Heap (Clean)
-Oscar Holter (dwoht)
-Annie Clark aka St Vincent (Cruel Summer)
-Rostam (producer for Haim)
-Ariel Rechtshaid (producer for Haim)
-the Haim sisters
-Jim E Stack (Virgin by Lorde)
Swifties only know 3 producers.
There's so many talented people she could work with in the future but you're here asking her to work with Jack, Aaron or Max & Shellback for the 1989th time.
Stop holding her down!
People need to stop hyping up I Knew It I Knew You that shit was mid and like half of Showgirl (including deluxe) is better
Independent from my thoughts on Showgirl in general and the choice of dropping a deluxe instead of debut TV, I like these 4 songs and I'm very happy we got them.
Now let's stream.
