⛽️Diesel! A fueled-up @EmmaAyer2029 (Class of 2029; @MonomoySharks) is building a physical profile to match her premium-grade on-court skill set.
In her first varsity season, Emma established Swish program records for an 8th Grader in all official statistical categories — namely, points (61), three-pointers (8), and free-throw percentage (66% (19-29)). The two-time All-Swish point guard played in 17 contests and earned her first career start in the regular season finale at Barnstable. A top-of-the-program Spring would follow where Emma pushed her game and body to new levels in training while emerging as a reliable — and oftentimes explosive — scorer on the regional tournament circuit. She continues to develop as a leader and has embraced her role as a program representative.
Emma has been performing strength & conditioning workouts on Monday evenings this Summer with an emphasis on power production. Her format includes violent ball-slams, heavy deadlifts, single-leg squats, overhead pressing, farmer’s carries, and nasty conditioning pieces on the bike. Some newfound biceps have even been on display during recent summer league games! The result has been an even more confident player capable of withstanding physicality and fully expressing her skills. The needle is pointing towards “full” entering her freshman season. 💙🧡💪
💔Heartbroken, but lacking in context — the Swish “Upstarts” competition team was saddened to fall one possession shy of winning the Championship in the Behn Hurricanes’ “Oktoberfest,” but the players proved themselves capable of competing with some of the top 4th Grade teams in the region.
A pair of travel teammates handled the majority of the scoring in a furious comeback win over the Behn Hurricanes to start the day. Isabella Menengas (4th Grade; Barnstable) and Gemma Mills (4th Grade; Barnstable) displayed handles and finishing abilities far beyond their age as the team as the team stormed back to win 29-27 at the buzzer. Giuliana Rocco (4th Grade; Monomoy) elevated her game to a completely new level in the second game against a second and even more formidable Behn Hurricanes entry. The officials were shocked by her competitive spirit and talent and commended her inspiring effort after the game. Haddie Tonello (4th Grade; Bourne) provided an offensive spark in the second half helping to climb back to within one point in the final minute. The girls would ultimately fall 35-32 and displayed some sad emotions after the game ended.
This competition team returns to action this Sunday in Zero Gravity’s “Throwdown for the Crown.” They will continue training for another five weeks that’ll take them right up into their respective school and town seasons. Don’t expect these girls to remain down for too long! 💙🧡
Recent evaluation for Swish forward @Roni_Vasquez12 (Class of 2030; @nhswhalers) by @PGHNewEngland:
“Roni brings a versatile skill set to the frontcourt. She handles the ball well for her position and is a strong finisher around the basket. Roni can also step away from the paint and knock down shots from both the mid-range and three-point range. On the glass, she competes hard and is capable of securing rebounds against taller opponents.”
Reigning three-time Swish Most Valuable Player @EmmaAyer2029 (Class of 2029; @MonomoySharks) has averaged 18.2 points per game across our top competition team’s first five contests of the Fall. The six-time All-Swish point guard will measure her progress against an elevated tier of competition in Zero Gravity’s “Throwdown for the Crown” this Sunday. Expecting Emma to continue demonstrating that she’s capable of impacting games against the best players in the region. 💙🧡
Swish forward @MeghanConlon08 (Class of 2027; Sturgis East) was a standout performer across our top competition team’s two-game championship slate in this past Saturday’s Behn Hurricanes’ “Oktoberfest.” “Big Meg” is operating with strength and athleticism while making increased offensive contributions. Her skill-set will be vital this Sunday as Swish rises to an elevated tier in Zero Gravity’s “Throwdown for the Crown.” Meghan is precisely the type of player that so many college coaches would value on a daily basis in practice, lifting, team activities, and any minutes she earns. The consummate “program player.” 💙🧡
⛽️Soaring gasoline prices proved to be no impediment to the Swish high octane attack as our premier competition team fired on all cylinders to win the championship in the Behn Hurricanes’ “Oktoberfest” while breaking multiple program records for offensive output.
The impact of @_meredithlarsen (Class of 2029; @UrsulineAcademy) would be impossible to overstate. Meredith, one of the top on-court performers from this past Summer’s premier training group, unleashed fury on the defensive end of court and pushed the ball at a relentless pace to facilitate and endless stream of offense for her teammates throughout the tournament. @MeghanConlon08 (Class of 2027; Sturgis East) and 13-year-old shooting guard @StellaRose2031 (Class of 2031; @MonomoySharks) were equally energetic and impactful as tone-settings with aggressiveness, physicality, and scoring. And reigning three-time Swish Most Valuable Player @EmmaAyer2029 (Class of 2029; @MonomoySharks) exploded offensively to average a team-high 22.5 points per game while burying 5 three-pointers and shooting 80% (8-10) from the free-throw line across the two-game slate. The team averaged 79 points per game, including breaking the 80-point barrier for the first time in program history. All players on the roster were impactful and enthusiastic.
This competition team will fuel up again this Sunday for entrance in Zero Gravity’s “Throwdown for the Crown.” Another degree of output and efficiency awaits with continued focus and intensity in training sessions! 💙🧡
🎉Congratulations to Elyse Sharpe (Class of 2027; Falmouth Academy) on her commitment to @RWUHoops! The 6-foot All-Swish forward has become an irreplaceable member of our training program and will likely challenge for our program’s single-season scoring record in the upcoming 2026-27 season. Elyse possesses the requisite physical profile, skill-set, and leadership traits to someday thrive in the ultra-competitive Commonwealth Coast Conference. She’ll have the opportunity to grow under a highly reputable coaching staff with multiple conference championships and NCAA Tournament appearances under its belt. Only the beginning of an exciting basketball journey for a truly special player and person! 💙🧡
🥊Punching above our weight! The Swish “Rising Stars” competition team absorbed some serious body-blows from heavyweight regional programs before ultimately delivering its own knockout punch to win the Championship in the Behn Hurricanes’ “Oktoberfest.”
Trailing 27-16 late in the second quarter to an impressive Nick Strong Athletics team, Sawyer Chipman (7th Grade; Bourne) initiated a furious comeback that changed the entire momentum of the game. Sawyer finished with a team-high 21 points (14 points in the third quarter) while burying 3 three-pointers and shooting a perfect 4-4 from the free-throw line. Sydney Enos (6th Grade; Barnstable) added 9 points and Emily Kenney (7th Grade; Bourne) contributed 7 points and massive rebounding totals. The second game was a different story as Mila Jumper (7th Grade; Saint John Paul II) came out swinging to scoring a team-high 20 points in a somewhat improbable win over an exceptionally-coached Behn Hurricanes entry. Sawyer added 13 points to cap an incredible two-game slate and Zoey Arraes (6th Grade; Barnstable) contributed 7 points to earn the victory.
This competition team returns to action this Sunday in Zero Gravity’s “Throwdown for the Crown.” The players are gaining a ton of confidence but know that each game will pose its own challenges. Credit to them for being willing to step in the ring with anyone. 💙🧡

Back on the court to play in the Behn Hurricanes’ “Oktoberfest” on Saturday with my Swish competition team! Here’s the schedule for our second official event of the Fall. 🏀
Swish receives a monster effort — 23 points and 4 three-pointers — from 6-foot All-Swish forward Elyse Sharpe (Class of 2027; Falmouth Academy) in tonight’s scrimmage with The Academy. Reigning three-time Swish Most Valuable Player @EmmaAyer2029 (Class of 2029; @MonomoySharks) contributes 17 points and strong ball-handling while 8th Grade Swish shooting guard @StellaRose2031 (Class of 2031; @MonomoySharks) adds 11 points and pair of three-pointers to round out the double-figure scoring. The scrimmage serves as a great tuneup for the upcoming Behn Hurricanes’ “Oktoberfest” on Saturday. The players are really starting to find their game legs and lungs and are primed to play some exciting upcoming basketball. 💙🧡
Serving notice! The Swish “Upstarts” competition team was declared the winner of its pool in Zero Gravity’s “Mass Madness” on Saturday morning — the first opportunity for this collection of players to truly compete at the 4th-Grade-&-Under level.
Suddenly, this collection of players went from barely being able to score baskets to averaging 42 points per game across its two-game tournament slate. Giuliana Rocco (4th Grade; Monomoy) was a menace on the defensive end repeatedly turning steals into full-speed races the other way for an avalanche of layups. Schoolmate Zola Dhladhla (4th Grade; Monomoy) was enormously impactful on both ends of the court — so much so that she actually unable to play in the second halves of the games due to competitive balance issues. All players on the roster scored at least one basket in each of the games as the depth continues to build!
This competition team returns to action this Saturday in the Behn Hurricanes’ “Oktoberfest” event as a special Fall continues. The players are operating with so much confidence and contributions from each player will be needed against some of the best competition in the state. 💙🧡
Swish forward @MeghanConlon08 (Class of 2027; Sturgis East) was exceptionally impactful in our first event last weekend as a starter for our top competition team. “Big Meg” was ferocious battling against much taller frontlines and flashed improved athleticism and touch on the offensive end. Expecting another strong showing from her in this Saturday’s two-game slate. 💙🧡
Effort and togetherness. Those themes served the Swish competition team well in Zero Gravity’s “Mass Madness” — an impressive starting point for a collection of plays certain to reach an even higher gear in the coming week.
The program received a standout performance across the two-game slate from @StellaRose2031 (Class of 2031; @MonomoySharks) — the youngest player on the roster earned a spot in the starting lineup and responded by setting the tone with aggressiveness and physicality. 6-foot All-Swish forward Elyse Sharpe (Class of 2027; Falmouth Academy) averaged a double-double in tournament — 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game — while providing leadership and a much-needed defensive interior presence. Reigning three-time Swish Most Valuable Player @EmmaAyer2029 (Class of 2029; @MonomoySharks) averaged a team-high 14.5 points per game while burying 4 three-pointers and shooting a perfect 5-5 from the free-throw line. The team competed valiantly against a massive B2L entry that plays nationally on the PUMA NXTPRO Circuit before finding its fullest offensive footing in a matchup with a well-coached Plymouth United.
The pace intensifies this week as this competition team hosts The Academy for a scrimmage on Thursday evening before competing in the Behn Hurricanes’ “Oktoberfest” on Saturday. Hoping to add “elite shotmaking” to the list of themes moving forwards! 💙🧡
📝Player evaluation for Swish freshman forward @Roni_Vasquez12 (Class of 2030; @nhswhalers) from recent @GirlsHoopSeries Frosh/Soph Elite 75 Showcase. Recognized for ability to score in the paint and rebound the ball, Roni is also capable of pushing the ball end-to-end after hauling in rebounds and possess shooting range well beyond the three-point line. Proud of Roni for representing our program in such a positive light and we’re forecasting some serious on-court activity/production from her this Fall and into her first varsity-level season on Nantucket. 💙🧡
Down to the wire! The Swish “Rising Stars” competition team pulled a pair of rabbits out of its collective hat to earn back-to-back victories in Zero Gravity’s “Mass Madness” on Saturday morning.
A gutsy performance from Zoey Arraes (6th Grade; Barnstable) was the primary difference in a thrilling 36-34 comeback win against the MCW Starz. The “Brazilian Bomber” detonated 3 consecutive three-pointers while remaining on the court with the team’s second unit thereby earning distinction as Zero Gravity’s “Player of the Game.” Partner in crime Sydney Enos (6th Grade; Barnstable) went absolutely bananas by scoring a team-high 15 points and burying her own set of 3 three-pointers. The duo displayed extraordinary composure despite competing up at the 7th Grade level.
Sawyer Chipman (7th Grade; Bourne) and Mila Jumper (7th Grade; Saint John Paul II) handled the majority of the scoring load in a 38-32 win against Nick Strong Athletics — both players recording a team-high 11 points in the game. Lana Medeiros (5th Grade; Dennis Yarmouth) buried a critical jump-shot late in the second half as she continues to add so much positivity and joy in her role on the roster.
The makeup of this roster, emphasis on equal playing time, and entry point in tournaments continues to yield games that go down to the wire. This team has played six games this Fall and each of them has had intense finishes. In other words, the perfect formula for development! Back in action this Saturday in the Behn Hurricanes’ “Oktoberfest” event as a special Fall continues. 💙🧡
