Today marks the 70th anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian Uprising. This event is of great significance also for Switzerland, where it sparked a widespread outpouring of solidarity amongst the population. Switzerland took in approximately 13,000 Hungarian refugees. Their presence helped to forge lasting personal ties between our two countries and strengthened bilateral relations between Hungary and Switzerland 🇭🇺🇨🇭

This modern and comprehensive FTA significantly strengthens trade relations with Vietnam, one of Southeast Asia's most dynamic and fast-growing economies.

It was an honour to meet with President Tô Lâm 🤝 Our discussion focused on strengthening bilateral relations, exchanging views on key regional and international developments, and advancing economic cooperation, notably through the conclusion of a free trade agreement between the EFTA States and Vietnam.
