A leech crawls across the surface, sunlight dressing Them in the iridescent hues of biofilm. Behind Them is left a trail of life. New life. Microscopic building-blocks reach out for one another with tendril hands. Dividing and uniting just to break down again; growth rippled across the land like water. slowly, these movements would break down the stagnant, unnatural stillness that came from Their absence. But it only went so far. One part of a whole, even of Themselves, They are left to wander.
