I’ve been working on a little story for @BBCRadioSolent and @solentsport for the last week
One which Southampton fans may or may not know
How Charles Miller and #Saintsfc are somewhat responsible for introducing football to 🇧🇷

Back on the 🎙️ tonight for AFCBTV
Desperately unlucky not to hold on vs Brighton last weekend but #afcb have won every home game this season in all comps
Looking forward to it ⚽️

#SaintsFC have won their last five matches against teams who started the day in the Championship’s play-off places 👏

Southampton showing again yesterday that under Tonda Eckert they turn up for the big matches
They have won their last 5 matches against sides who started the day in the play off spots, are unbeaten in last 9 against top 6/8 sides and have won 7 of those matches

🔴⚪️ Rotherham United boss Alex Bruce after the 3-3 draw with Shrewsbury Town.
The Millers sit 22nd in League Two, level on points and goal difference with Port Vale just below.

Ft Rotherham United 3-3 Shrewsbury Town
2 red cards, 6 goals, one frenetic game
Great grit from the Millers to come back
Enjoyed that @footballheaven

Excited to make my debut for @footballheaven this afternoon

Nice little surprise to see this pop up again
Can’t believe it’s been almost 5 years since my first game for the BBC
Remember being an absolute bag of nerves but the legend that is Dave Merrington guided my through it all
🤞 for same result this weekend
#Saintsfc
Agonising for #afcb but a terrific game to call
As a commentator will never complain about a 3-3 but deflated they couldn’t hold on
Back on the 🎙️ for this one for AFCB TV
#afcb such a great watch so far this season
Another win incoming?

Let's goooooo 🙌
ALT A matchday graphic ahead of Brighton & Hove Albion v AFC Bournemouth in Premier League 2
Southampton scored in 30 consecutive league matches
Of course that record was ended by Gavin Bazunu
Mostly Saints own doing though

Two live commentaries for #saintsfc & #pompey from 2 on @solentsport
And we’ll see if @sholingfc can make it into the FA Cup 1st Round for the first time ever!
Build up from 2pm
Since 2000, only Nigel Adkins (11/12 - 22pts) and Ronald Koeman (14/15 - 22 pts) have won more points from their opening 10 games of a season than Tonda Eckert (20) for Southampton
#Saintsfc
What a thoroughly enjoyable game to commentate on 🎙️
4 goals for Eugene Nyarko
Bournemouth could easily have got 9 or 10
Looking forward to covering them next weekend when they face Brighton

Cherries u21s have enjoyed a fine start to the season
Looking forward to seeing how they do after the international break
#AFCB
After yesterday’s result Southampton are enjoying their best start to a season after 9 games since 2020 when Ralph Hasenhuttl topped the Premier League for a short time. Both earning (17 points)
#Saintsfc
People certainly questioned his involvement but I will say this
Jack Stephens was imperious
As was Schlotterbeck
#Saintsfc
Southampton win the first South Coast Derby of the season
1st clean sheet of the season too - not a bad game to get it and with 10 men too
Cameron Bragging rights anyone?
