Ten worlds join our ever-growing catalog of confirmed exoplanets. The bounty includes two of the closest rocky exoplanets to Earth. We think there are billions of planets in our galaxy, and, to date, we've confirmed 5,054. We live in an age of discovery! exoplanets.nasa.gov/news/170…

There are eight planets in our solar system – and more than 5,000 confirmed beyond it. @NASAExoplanets is offering guided tours to some of the most exotic destinations in the galaxy: exoplanets.nasa.gov/travel

So far we've confirmed more than 5,000+ planets beyond our solar system. Exactly 0 of them are just like Earth. We've found raining glass and lava oceans. Some planets have two suns, others have three. Each one is a real world to explore: exoplanets.nasa.gov

ALT A newly discovered exoplanet, LTT 1445 A b, orbits its parent star tightly; that star, in turn, orbits two others, making a three-star system. The arrangement is not unlike that of our nearest exoplanet neighbor, Proxima b, also with three stars in its sky, as shown in this artist's rendering. Image credit: ESO/M. Kornmesser

Discovery Alert!📣
Just 33 light-years from Earth, two rocky super-Earths orbit a bright, red dwarf star. Astronomers found them using our TESS spacecraft and they seem to be ideal targets for followup by @NASAWebb! go.nasa.gov/3tEPKln

NASA’s TESS Space Telescope has captured evidence of more than 2,200 candidate planets orbiting bright, nearby stars, including hundreds of “smaller” planets – many possibly rocky worlds in some ways similar to Earth.

We've discovered 4,331 exoplanets – worlds beyond our solar system – so far. A new discovery this month is a multiplanet system 280 light-years from Earth. All five planets orbiting the star TOI 561 were observed by @NASA's TESS spacecraft.
