Minister of Transport, Barbara Creecy will on Wednesday, 28 October 2026 visit Transnet's 23E Locomotive Plant and provide update on Durban Gateway Terminal Operations

@follow_transnet Chairperson Dr. Andile Sangqu visited the Transnet Engineering Durban Manufacturing Plant today.
The purpose of the visit was to assess the progress of the 23E Locomotive production line following his previous visit during the Locomotive No. 200 celebration.
Furthermore, the chairperson wanted to inspect the Wagon Operations Recovery Line, where the team is refurbishing Jumbo wagons for the Transnet Freight Rail (TFR) coal line.
