A formal complaint has been filed against Neha Bora (AISA) @neha_aisa before the SHO, Sansad Marg Police Station, New Delhi, concerning her sweeping public statements alleging that women are raped inside temples by pujaris.
Such reckless and sweeping allegations against an entire community of religious functionaries have the potential to create communal disharmony, promote enmity between groups and disturb public tranquillity.
Freedom of speech is a constitutional right, not a licence to make irresponsible and inflammatory statements. Those exercising this right must remain within the boundaries prescribed by law and be held accountable for their words.
She has to understand her limitations, and freedom of speech is not absolute.
No one is above the law.

We should remember this forgotten hero.
According to the 1941 Census, Noakhali district was approximately 82% Muslim and 17% Hindu. When the horrific anti-Hindu violence broke out in October-November 1946, this man stood firmly against the tide of terror.
He was Rajendralal Raychaudhuri, the zamindar of Karpara village in Noakhali. He mobilised his armed retainers, including Nepali guards equipped with firearms, and personally took up arms to defend Hindus against the attackers.
But he was more than a zamindar. He was the president of the Hindu Mahasabha in Noakhali, a prominent advocate in Bengal, and a follower of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.
In a district where Hindus were a vulnerable minority, Rajendralal Raychaudhuri was their protector and a pillar of strength. He repeatedly used his influence and resources to defend Hindus against Islamic persecution and intimidation.
Yet, his contribution has largely disappeared from public memory, neglected by the secular and communist politician in India and West Bengal.
If we remember Gopal Mukherjee for his role in defending Hindus, we must also remember Rajendralal Raychaudhuri. His courage and sacrifice deserve a rightful place in our history.

Pakistani Navy Delegation Arrives in Dhaka for Second Round High-Level Defence Talks
▸ A three-member Pakistan Navy delegation, led by Rear Admiral Muhammad Umair, arrived in Dhaka on November 2 for the second round of Bangladesh–Pakistan Navy Expert-Level Staff Talks.
▸ Discussions are expected to focus on naval training, professional exchanges, development planning and broader institutional cooperation.
▸ The visit follows a series of expanding military engagements, including senior naval visits, staff exchanges and discussions on defence cooperation.
▸ Pakistan and Bangladesh have also explored potential defence procurement, including JF-17 fighter jets and Super Mushshak trainer aircraft.
▸ The growing military engagement comes amid changing regional dynamics and strained Bangladesh–India relations since August 2024.

Deeply concerned about the five young trekkers from Bankura: Rintu Mondal, Uday Ghosh, Ratan Ghosh, Tapas Bauri and Manoj Khawas, who have gone missing during the Kedartal trek in Uttarakhand following severe weather and heavy snowfall.
The Government of West Bengal is in constant touch with the Uttarakhand Government and their State Disaster Response Force (SDRF). Through our Resident Commissioner’s Office in New Delhi and State Disaster Management channels, we are actively seeking regular updates on the extensive search and rescue operations currently underway to locate and rescue our boys.
To ensure uninterrupted round-the-clock coordination, the Additional Director General of Police (Law & Order) and the Superintendent of Police, Bankura District, have been assigned the responsibility to closely liaise with the Uttarakhand SDRF, local district authorities and administrative heads on the ground.
Our administration has reached out to the distressed families in Bankura to extend all possible logistical and emotional support during this trying time. We stand firmly with the families, and no effort is being spared to ensure the safe and swift return of our Youths. We pray for their safety and well-being.
