Today, we honor SPC Matthew June, Army. 🇺🇸 Right out of high school, Matt stepped up to serve his country as a Army Policeman. Stationed at Ft. Devens and Panama, his sharp professionalism earned him a position on the private security detail for the General immediately following Operation Just Cause. In 2009, Matt was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Despite his diagnosis, Matt refused to stop serving. He became an advocate for the ALS community; opening his home to fellow patients, raising awareness, and speaking up for those who no longer could. His surviving wife, Jackie, remembers him as the life of the ALS clinic: always wearing funny shirts, and cracking jokes. His joy was magnetic. He used it to bring people together, and lift up his community. Matt’s mission didn't end when he took off the uniform. He served his community until his very last breath. His legacy lives on through Jackie, as she empowers others through her service with Travis Manion Foundation as a CDM mentor, the Tampa Chapter Leader, Operation Legacy Project leader, and SLP Cohort 5 Graduate.

We created Veterans Day resources so you didn’t have to. Teachers, parents, mentors, and educators — this is for you. 🇺🇸 Through TMF’s Character Does Matter (CDM) program, powered by Under Armour Freedom, we’re offering free character-based resources designed to help guide meaningful conversations with youth about the true meaning of Veterans Day. Resources are available for both K-5 and grades 6-12, making it easy to engage students in age-appropriate discussions around remembrance, sacrifice, and service. >> bit.ly/4s39sEu

Service in action in Richardson, Texas. 🇺🇸 @RTX_news employees, local veterans, and Richardson Independent School District members joined Travis Manion Foundation for a day of service at Math Science Technology Magnet Elementary. Do you have charitable dollars set aside? 👇 A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) is a smart and simple way to support the causes you care about–like Travis Manion Foundation. With a DAF, you get the flexibility and control to donate how, when, and where you want while unlocking meaningful tax advantages that can maximize your impact. It’s an easy way to give with purpose and make your charitable dollars go further. Here's how it works: 👉 Make a charitable contribution to your DAF 👉 Funds grow tax-free until you recommend a grant to a qualified nonprofit organization (TMF is a great option!) 👉 You can suggest a one-time grant or recurring grants 👉 You can make them anonymously or publicly By giving through your DAF, you directly fuel TMF’s mission to invest in families of the fallen to lead by mentoring youth and serving in their communities. Create a tax-efficient way to make a lasting impact today: bit.ly/4z4YYGX

This National Book Month, we’re highlighting a few books that do just that, including The Knock at the Door, Brothers Forever, and The Things My Brother Used to Say. Staff Sgt. Davis dedicated his life to serving his country, completing six combat deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan. In honor of Staff Sgt. Anthony Davis, Army Ranger, TMF volunteers of the Houston community came together for a beautification project, giving their time to care for and improve a space in his memory. This effort was part of TMF’s 9/11 Service Projects, supported by @911Day and @AmeriCorps, which also included a project in Charleston. Across both cities, 9/11 Heroes Run participants wrote notes of gratitude to local veterans before putting those words into action through hands-on service. Thank you to everyone who showed up, served, and helped carry the spirit of September 11 forward through service. 🇺🇸
