The growing number of measles cases is concerning.
The Measles is serious and highly contagious. There is no treatment for measles but there is a safe and effective vaccine. I encourage everyone to protect themselves and their children by ensuring they are vaccinated.
JUST IN: The U.S. has surpassed 1,000 measles cases for the first time in five years, according to new data from the CDC published Friday.

Stunning. With rollout of the RSV vaccine and treatment for babies <8 months old, RSV hospitalizations fell >50%.
By comparison, for toddlers and kids <5 years who were not covered by these advances, RSV hospitalizations did not fall.

Those trying to understand the tariffs as economic policy are dangerously naive.
No, the tariffs are a tool to collapse our democracy. A means to compel loyalty from every business that will need to petition Trump for relief.

The U.S. has actively dismantled the global disease-detection programs we all—including Americans—rely on to stay safe
Today this administration’s short-sighted global health agenda got even even worse
It’s ending its support for vaccine programs around the world

Let's be very clear about what's happening here: Donald Trump and Elon Musk are helping Vladimir Putin cover up a horrific war crime.
SCOOP --> Trump's State Department quietly terminated a contract that was in the process of transferring evidence of Russian abductions of Ukrainian kids to European law enforcement, two sources familiar with the situation tell me.

🧵regarding the 'rapidly absorbable' sutures, which are used less often than other suture types, but fill specific roles in a number of different surgical specialties.
We'll go over the uses of (and differences between) Chromic, plain gut, 'fast' gut, and Vicryl Rapide.

TL;DR on the new AF guidelines.
For acute control of RVR:
- CCB vs BB is a tired discussion
- Don't kill mod-severe CM with CCB tho
- Mag is fetch
- If not hemodynamically unstable, and don't have decomp CHF, it's not an emergency.
