Today, nine education and employer partnerships from across Tennessee began their Tennessee Pathways Incubator journey as part of SCORE’s Future Forward Innovation Grant. Over the next year, they’ll design pathways that connect students to in-demand careers and greater economic opportunity. At our first convening, SCORE President and CEO @davemansouri led a conversation with leaders who brought state, business, and local perspectives: @westonwamp, Mayor of @HamCoTNGov; @CommishTNECD, Deputy Governor and Commissioner of the @TNECD; and Josh Brown, President and CEO of the @TNChamber. Together with our fellows, they explored what employers need, how education and industry can build lasting partnerships, and how local pathways can help more Tennesseans access opportunity. We’re grateful to these leaders for sharing their perspectives and helping our 2026 cohort begin the year with a clearer view of the opportunities ahead. Learn more about their pathways here: tnscore.org/what-we-do/pract…

It was a pleasure joining Hamilton County Mayor @westonwamp and @TNChamber CEO Josh Brown in a panel led by @SCORE_TN President & CEO @davemansouri to discuss workforce development across our state. As we continue to support @Jobs4_TN during the rollout of TNWorks — the single source for workforce in our state — we're excited about the collaboration between education, economic development and workforce in Tennessee. When a company expands in or moves to Tennessee, we want them to know our state has the highly skilled workers it needs to be successful. 🤝

Across all 95 Tennessee counties, @WGUTennessee is helping Tennesseans access higher education and build skills for career advancement. Since 2022, WGU’s Tennessee enrollment has grown by about 50%. Today, nearly 5,900 Tennesseans are active WGU students, with more than 15,800 degrees awarded to Tennessee graduates. Through its flexible, online competency-based model, WGU is helping remove barriers to higher education, particularly for students in rural communities who may not have nearby access to degree programs.
